There is no other place like OX184 in Edinburgh! Great beers, good atmosphere and very tasty food. Would fully recommend to come there for a nice meal and a few drinks with friends!

Lovely staff, and lovely food! We ordered burgers and they were really juicy. Didn't have my usual drink of Malibu, but staff recommended a new drink to try; was a great choice! Definitely recommend!

Lovely place for lunch, very relaxed, great to see dogs we're welcome and the food was really nice. Good portion sizes and very tasty. Kiddies menu wasn't huge tbh but they enjoyed themselves and was fine for a family 👍

Had a lovely meal and drinks in here, food was lovely and the decor was great, had a booth and felt like we were secluded and not in a busy restraunt it was lovely. Also were given a bottle of prosecco on the house from the manager for my friends birthday! Definately would go back!

Great selection of craft beers, lots of local stuff. Really nice interior, spacious and full of space to have sit even when busy. Friendly staff and good service with good product knowledge. Being right in the middle of Cow gate makes this spot really good for pre-drinks.

Came for the great drink selection, stayed for the Manager’s excellent eyebrows.

Brought my boyfriends family here for grub after the rugby and although the place was busy with lots of post match fans we all got looked after, fed and the food was great! Will recommend to my friends!!!

Best service ever! Very NFL friendly, food is awesome! Environment is modern and hip, dog friendly, clean!!! We've come here twice in one day because the staff was so fantastic! Oh and the Bloody Hell Mary is ��!!!! Avoid the tourists places and come here!

Was here yesterday for the first time good variety on menu . Had the ribs to start then the cheeseburger both were superb. Only let down was staff clearing table before all were finished. Would still come back though

Great lunch today, pulled pork longboy?? for me n the jalapeno sausages with refried beans for hubby. Food was lovely, service was quick and staff all good, would return.

We called in yesterday for some lunch with my step sister and her partner while we were back in Edinburgh, as we had been before with our son and also our dog on previous occasions and were happy with the service.

We first of all sat on one of the benches but after a short while moved as the staff were coming in and out with logs for the fire, and with a young child, it was just too cold. So we moved.

We ordered a load of mains and drinks and the food itself was lovely.

We felt the girl in particular serving us was nothing short of miserable, and seemed to be annoyed with us as we were not ordering fast enough for her. The other staff were lovely though, one girl in particular was brilliant with my son.

Although, as I finished my main, the server came and seemed to be confirming items on our bill with me, which I was a little confused about but confirmed anyways. Then shortly after that, our bill arrived. Without us asking for it. We weren't even offered a dessert menu or any other drinks or coffee, which we actually were going to order.

Feeling like they wanted us to leave, even though there was only three odd tables already in, we paid and left.

It really ruined our meal, and we wont be back.

As regulars, when we are back in Edinburgh, in your sister restaurant red squirrel, maybe you should take some service advice from them.

Was there with family last night and although my rump steak was cooked to perfection it was cold. Staff mixed up the drinks a couple of times but they were busy. They really needsto make the kids menu better as my grandson could only have chips and bread so not to healthy for taking kids. All the adults loved the food though. I will defo be back.

Had a lovely long weekend away in Edinburgh with my hubby for my birthday. He really wanted a steak so popped in to OX184 for our evening meal. Yes my hubby's steak was very well made and he enjoyed it but, my baby back ribs had to go back to the kitchen as they were clap cold! By the time the meal returned (now lovely and hot) my husband had finished his meal, my side salad wasn't replaced that was on my original plate an I ate my meal on my own. I am a unsatisfied customer and sorry to say I won't recommend OX184 to anyone who asks :(

Great food. Cool atmosphere. Really shotty service. Felt like I had to be on fire for any waitress to notice and/or serve me, and when they finally did they acted as if it was an inconvenience. Really bummer. �

Dined here last night with family. I ordered steak, cooked rare, which arrived cold. It was taken back to the kitchen and returned on a cold plate. Manager said he could feel the heat through the plate, and proceeded to stand over me and ask if I was going to eat it! Eh, no thanks!

On the flip side, the staff were very polite and helpful (and apologetic) - more than can be said for the 'manager'.

Very abusive staff, a member of there kitchen staff assaults a doorman outside there venue! Disgusting behaviour
