Visited the oyster and otter this afternoon, excellent service from the team Hollie, Sophie and Emma who couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome, the food was amazing, we will definitely be back soon

Our new favourite place! I can't believe we only went for the first time, 2 weeks ago, but we were back yesterday (Christmas Eve). I rang to see if there was a table free and they squeezed us in at very short notice. The food is fabulous and different choices to a lot of other restaurants we usually frequent! The staff are all lovely and polite and the decor/atmosphere is very pleasant. I can recommend the baby ribs starter and prawn goan curry for main....lovely. We shall definitely see you again very soon �

Great service fantastic food only complaint was asked for a glass of water , brought me a litre , took it back but was still charged , please refund and add it to the tip because service was great many thanks.

Great service and very friendly staff. Food was great, had the seafood skewer which was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Go at least once a week the food is always amazing and the staff can't do enough for you definitely 1 of the best places in Blackburn for food and a relaxing atmosphere

First time for us on Wednesday night, great food and atmosphere, waiter service excellent, special thanks, to the manger for his knowledge and great service on the bar.

Fantastic meal, great place and lovely service. We came for my sister-in-law birthday an she had a wonderful time. Victoria was excellent in serving us, great conversation and veg helpful. Will come back again.

Ate there yesterday with some friends... the food was fab, really enjoyed it and the staff were fantastic and had a giggle with us. The only sour point was the manager coming over and asking if we'd paid the bill as we were leaving the table � which we had. Still that aside we would definitely go back again �

Hadn’t been for a long time, so decided to give it another go. We had excellent food and service. Our only disappointment was the portion sizes - we are not greedy pigs but when you have one of the most expensive dishes on the menu (rack of lamb at £19) you have to be disappointed to receive just 2 cuts! 3 would have been more appropriate.

Would have been 5* if it wasn't for the fact that my cheese and biscuits came served on a plank. Nothing puts me off my food more than having it presented to me on a lump of wood. Please state how food will be served on menu so that a plate can be requested instead - at time of ordering!!

We usually love O&O, however, the two times we've been in the last two weeks we've been disappointed - run out of mushy peas with the fish & told there was no dessert pancakes the 1st time and then on the 2nd visit (20 minutes after we had ordered our dessert) to be told no syrup sponge? Really not on top form the last fortnight!

I was ok. Just had something from the light lunchtime menu.



But £3.90 for the 330mm Corona Extra is a bit over the top.

Well where do I begin had to wait over 40 mins for the starters which where sent back as like rubber. spent £70 on drinks because of the wait have had a lot better and on a Tuesday night when not at full capacity else where. Children’s menu very limited won’t be coming back

Pretentious and overpriced.

Nice decor except for the overhead lighting which looked dirty inside! Waiting staff very friendly and helpful apart from the manager who was very patronising when I complained that my fillet steak was virtually raw when I’d requested medium cooked, (I’d already asked for it to be cooked a bit more and when I got it back it was just charred on the outside and still raw inside, it was literally bleeding!). He asked me what I wanted him to do about it! Did I want it cooked again or did I want something else off the menu...he said this quite loudly which was embarrassing. As my husband had already finished his meal by this time and I’d already lost my appetite by then, I said there was no point.

When I went to pay the bill he was good enough not to charge me for my steak which I’d found inedible!

Wouldn’t eat there again!

Would possibly go in the summer (for drinks only!) as the seating area outside looks quite pleasant.

I had fish pie which was delicious . I was absolutely amazed at the lack of service. At the bar there was one serving and 5 others who wouldn't look up just looked like they were trying to look busy, no acknowledgement at all. I had to come back to the bar for a drink and the bar staff were having a play tussle !!! I had to ask on both occasions if I could get a drink!!!

If I owned this establishment I would be mortified at the general consensus on Trip Advisor/Facebook about the lack of Customer Service. Where was the Manager ?- these staff need training, guidance and rules !!!

Food nice, and feel of pub lovely, though service lacked. Waited ages for service. My husband had to go to bar for drinks. We had to chase our mains and he had to go back to bar for the bill as we were sick of waiting. For pudding I ordered the Crepe Suzette with Icecream. How ever it arrived without icecream. When I asked where it was, the male waiter looked at me puzzled and the lady came over stating their freezer had broken so chef couldn't use the ice cream. Wish they had told us before service or taking the order! They said they would adjust the bill. However when my husband paid he had to challenge them as they hadn't! Food lovely but won't be going back in a hurry.

Worst experience for a meal I have ever had. Food below average. My partner approached a drunk customer asking him to stop swearing as we had 2 young children and it was Saturday lunchtime. I am heavily pregnant and was verbally abused by the scumbag of a customer. Ruined the meal. One of the staff informed me they had several complaints about him and yet was not asked to leave. Bad management
