Special place in my heart for Paisley, the abbey is beautiful, good shopping, lovely scenery and the best B&B anywhere: Muirholm Bed and Breakfast on Calside Avenue - Brilliant.

Paisley is a wonderful place if you are disabled it is the best town that looks after

the elderly and disabled . The bus service and train 🚂 is out of this world .You travel

On and off the bus and train while sitting in your wheelchair. The taxi service is great you phone and in a few minutes they are there Shopping is super as they even have a special area where you can pay for your items. If you want to attend the cinema they also have special areas for wheelchairs have spent just on a month in Paisley with my family Return to South Africa on the 13th June .Thank you Paisley for all the home comforts

Paisley is The largest town in Scotland, it has a rich historical past, the textile mills, car factory, the magnificent Abbey, and less popular but still of importance , the last place in Europe to carry out a mass execution of so called witches. Steeped in history and has also produced loads of famous people; Gerry rafferty,Paolo Nuttini, Gerard Butler , Fulton Mackay, to name but a few.

Love Paisley I'm Paisley born and bred loved growing up there and all the nightlife in the 80's shuttle street, new street, the cotton club, the videoplex, Toledo junction and well to many to mention so many happy memories, sadly I have moved away but will always remember with a smile on my face x

I was born in paisley and now live in Canada. I went to primary school there and my dad got his apprenticeship in Clyde bank. We left in the 70's but I have returned many times. I love the people, the pubs especially ballnagowan. Love the history and the service. Also all the extra curricular activities. We went to the pipe band competition and loved it. One last thing...love the charleston cafe for fish and chips and pizza on neilston road.

Has a beautiful history with a Mill And An Abbey A museum and Art Center. Cobbles and Stoney Brae to take a walk up and see the Obsevatory and there's a building called The pudding bowl. The Gothic Coats Church is beautifully lit up at night. Plenty more to see and do.Transport to Glasgow airport or travel to Glasgow from Gilmour train and canal street train stations. ☺

Was in Paisley yesterday for Sma Shot day. A good buzz about the town, much better than normal. Live in Blantyre now, but in Paisley most weeks, like four times this week. The town needs more regular events, yesterday proved that it would be supported. Lastly, only a few weeks until the start of the season for our beloved St Mirren. Here's hoping the people of Paisley get down to the Paisley 2021 Stadium and support the only team in Paisley.

I think the council should throw in the towel regarding 100% occupancy of shops in the High St. and the West End. It ain’t ever going to happen. The footfall just isn’t there. Other towns have given permission for empty shops to be purchased by private developers for conversion to housing. Of course shops that manage to survive, sustaining reasonable profibility like Fairfull should continue to trade, but the empty properties vacant for a length of time that Guinness Book of Records publishers would be interested in should be subject to some kind of action.

User

Some amazing buildings, including the fabulous Paisley Abbey. Don't miss Blend Café; excellent. Overall a town destroyed by inept socialist planning, post tory economics meltdown, Ned culture and one awful uni. #sorry.

User

Paisley is where I was born and bred and still live but it really is in a state. To many lovely buildings in disrepair with trees etc growing from them. Far to many shop units empty or shops full of short term leases all selling the same cheap rubbish. Good luck going for city status but being as close to Glasgow I doubt it.

User

I love every cobble upon our bonny streets where the patter floats through the air, but alas the scurgh of those Neds wailing their needy screach polluting our wee toon with their substance needs to the detrsment of all.

Say no to Drugs & clean up our cobbles before our street become addicted through our wee Nrds need.

Save our streets.

Take a casual stroll around and you will come across numerous magnifent buildings that will both surprise and inspire you. Paisley is cool and deserves European city of culture status.
