Normally Renfrewshire Foodbank is closed for the public holidays such as Good Friday and Easter Monday. Due to the difficult situation many people find themselves in because of COVID-19, they have decided to remain open on Good Friday this year. They will still distribute food at Paisley Central Baptist Church Community Hall, 14 Lady Lane, Paisley from 1.30-4.30 on Friday 10 April. They will only be closed this year on Easter Monday, 13 April.

GAS SURE Emergency Heating and Hot Water Repairs Gas Safety Checks

... Gas Sure has made the Health and Safety decision to suspend all works within tenanted properties during lockdown unless it is an absolute emergency. Emergencies are a severe water leak (from a boiler or radiator where the water cannot be contained and is causing significant damage), gas leak and where there is danger to life or limb. They will assess each phone call and will also ask you about your household so they can prioritise the most vulnerable. If you report that you have no heating and/or hot water then Gas Sure will be able to leave temporary heaters at your door-at a safe distance. Unfortunately there is no facility to provide temporary hot water. Until further notice Gas Safety checks have also been suspended. Gas engineers will not attend any appointments already made.
