What a place and where do I start? From the moment I walked in staff welcomed me so warmly. I immediately felt as ease. As a solo traveler I always opt to sit at the bar and water was offered quickly along with the menus. Staff are super friendly, professional, knowledgeable and warm and also observed that they enjoyed their job and colleagues !! As busy as they were they still had time to converse with me. I was entertained by watching them make the most creative concoctions of cocktails. What started as a quick one drink stop turned into 2. Only reason I left was that I was sooo hungry and didn't want to turn "hangry " I will definitely go back! My only regret is that I should have found Panda and Sons earlier part of my trip. Thank you for your hospitality

User

WHAT A PLACE! I have no words for the experience I had at Panda & Sons. My jaw dropped the second I walked into the bar. I just recommend to everyone to go there and see, feel, taste and smell for themselves. I will be back again and again and again and again..

User

Very enjoyable evening spent here, our first night in Edinburgh too. Highly recommend a visit if you love something less mainstream, waiter service with a smile. Popcorn and complimentary water helped wash down the fabulous cocktails. Wish there was one nearer to home.

User

Panda and Sons is disguised as a barber shop so when I was invited by friends to go there I could pretend that I couldn't find it and stay at home eating yoghurt and watching bad tv which is what I wanted to do all along. It was my best night out ever. My friends said it was amazing though, and they would totally recommend it to everybody.

User

Our first night in Edinburgh here for a short a break. Had a great dinner at Gusto Italian had heard good things about Panda and sons just round the corner so decided to end the evening there. What a great find! Don’t be fooled by the outside this is a not a barbershop or hairdressers but a brilliant speakeasy style bar. Enter go down the the stairs and take part in a great experience. Good unobtrusive music, imaginative cocktails and attentive service. Plus free popcorn what’s not to like.

User

Had a great night here with my other half. We booked a table for drinks (no minimum spend or cons) and would recommend doing this as a busy wee bar! Service was brilliant, cocktails were lovely and music very fitting! Will Def come again!

User

Had a fantastic hour or so with a few theatrically made cocktails although beer is also available. The place took a bit of finding but finally twigged where it was. The staff were nice and friendly and the cocktails they produced were mega and I am not the biggest cocktail fan. The bar itself is like a prohibition bar hidden away behind a book case. Once inside there are some nice comfy seating areas and some nice background music to make you feel relaxed while swigging on copious amounts of alcohol. This will be our first port of call on our next visit to Edinburgh #cannawait.

User

Great place. Unique and quirky. Definitely will visit again when through in Edinburgh. Staff very friendly and attentive.

User

Fantastic and highly original cocktail bar with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. The Whisky cocktail under the bell jar filled with smoke was genius ! . Great couple hours spend here early Sunday evening .

User

Best long island Ice tea (Eclipse) I've ever had and very cozy chilled venue. Will return!

User

Awesome service, creative indoors and outdoors look and cocktails, super friendly waiters and hosts, we were recommended to go there and now with experience we can say, that we recommend it too!

User

Amazing, professional and friendly service, nice bar with really good alcohol and delicious cocktails ❤ my heart belongs to Panda & Sons 😅❤👌

User

Amazing place, we walked up on spec and the doorman squeezed us in at the bar until a table opened up.

We were frozen so the bar staff started us off with some hot toddy cocktails. We then started working out way through the cocktail menu.

Stayed here for about 3-4 hours and loved it.

Much better than some other cocktail bars in Edinburgh.

User

Absolutely loved this place, great drinks, great service!! Can’t wait to go back

User

Absolutely amazing place! Staff is great, and drinks...

I think it can't be any better! Love it!

User

Absolute wee hidden gem! My sister and I spent about four hours last night sitting at the bar working our way through the cocktail menu. The lovely bar staff were more than happy for us to sit at the bar, watch the drinks being made and ask questions too. Highlight for me was the hot toddie as I was loosing my voice, did the trick! Doorman was ace too, really friendly place full of people enjoying quality drinks. Complete opposite to some of the other pretentious bars in Edinburgh. Keep up the good work guys!

User

Probably would have been a good night celebrating a 50th Birthday but since balloons are not allowed, had one drink then moved on!

User

Well, where do i begin!!! My girlfriends and I were enjoying a weekend in Edinburgh and had been told we MUST visit this bar!! After spending a good while searching for said bar, we finally found it, with dry mouths and blistered feet! After a massive hooray, we joined the short queue, 8 of us and 3 people in front. A slight, suited and bearded creature approached the door and asked the party of 3 in front of us how many of them there were, then asked us how many was in our party, we replied 8. This arrogant personage replied to us with......."there's no way you are getting in here tonight, so "jog on" to the next place and then proceeded to turn his back on us and walk away. I ask you if this is how this member of your staff would like his mother/sister/daughter to be treated?

If I could have left a review with minus stars I would!! What a horrible, rude and demeaning way to treat people!!! I hope this person is reprimanded thoroughly and is asked to "jog on" somewhere else as he is obviously not happy in his work and his customer service skills have escaped him.
