Drinks and sat on the comfy seats at the back. Great place for a wee drink and chat. Staff were so attentive and lovely. We will be back! (Hopefully for food next time - menu looks amazing!!)

We were at Papillon on Monday for food and cocktails- both were fab. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The cocktail menu was varied with lots of choice, and service great too. Definitely recommend and will be back.

We went for dinner the second day of opening and both the food and cocktails were fantastic. One of the cocktails we tried was new and we werenвАЩt too keen on the taste, however the waiter seemed to pick this up and asked if we would like him to change it, he took it back to the bar and added more ingredients, it tasted much better and we appreciated the service. Great atmosphere and service - cant wait to visit again!

Thank you for a great lunch today. I had noticed you talking about a new menu on Facebook, so we decided to come down and have a look. ItвАЩs a really good menu, and I love that the quality of ingredients and cooking that we so value in Cafe Tartine, is as much in evidence here. I had the burger, which was delicious - you can always tell when a restaurant makes its own burgers. My husband had the surf вАШnвАЩ turf, which he really enjoyed. We enjoyed great service from our waitress, who offered a bowl of water for our dog, and was so friendly and smiley. We will most definitely be back! A real bonus is the free car park around the back during evenings and weekends.

My partner and I enjoyed some delicious cocktails from the very extensive cocktail menu that we fully intend on working our way through on future visits. Papillon has a welcoming laid back atmosphere which was lovely on a cold, rainy night and very attentive, friendly staff. Looking forward to a return visit soon to try the food menu and have some more yummy cocktails.

I know this place has gone through a few changes in recent years but itвАЩs absolutely back to its best. Better than ever, actually. For those who havenвАЩt been down here in a while, drop by, youвАЩll be glad you did. It looks great, the new decor is perfect, the staff are lovely, the drinks are top. Curl up on a sofa with a glass of wine and chat the day out, thatвАЩs what weвАЩve been doing. I had a cocktail masterclass to celebrate my 40th birthday at Papillon, hosted by Scott who looked after us very well from the expert teaching to the food to making sure we were all having fun пњљ great service, fabulous food, fantastic cocktails and a really wonderful time in a lovely setting. Thank you everyone for looking after us and making my birthday celebrations so memorable пњљпњљпњљ

Had such a lovely evening here tonight. My friend and I went with our kids (4 in total!). The staff were so patient with us and as soon as we walked in they gave lovely pens and paper to entertain the children. The food was absolutely delicious. We both had the vegan option and it was excellent. The kids also enjoyed their food. We will definitely be back. Oh and the gin and cranberry cocktail was amazing! Thank u!

Great choice of cocktails, and the offer to make anything we wanted, and not be restricted by the menu. We didn't arrive until almost 9pm, but they kept the kitchen open to cook for us and the food was really tasty and good sized portions. Menu has a wide selection, with a good choice of vegetarian options as well. Service was great, staff really friendly. Well worth a visit.

First вАЬproperвАЭnight after scrounging a couple of opening freebies and it was delightful. Some pubs just get it right and we feel this is one. It wasnвАЩt particularly busy as we were in early tonight but there was still lots of good atmosphere and the music was excellent. The staff are incredibly helpful, so pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. We ate and were not disappointed, very flavoursome, well presented and excellent value for money. Leith is not short of bars and we use a fair few of them, but this is fast becoming one of our favourites. Good work guys, see you soon. X

Decided to give this place a go with my colleague tonight and was so pleasantly surprised I was left wondering why I hadn't tried it earlier. The atmosphere is fantastic with candles on the tables and electro-swing music. The cocktails are an absolute delight and all come with a personal touch (garnish, glassware etc.). The food tastes really fresh and is reasonably priced. Now I'm not a desserts' person but the Glayva pannacotta was to die for. And I didn't think anyone could make a better pannacotta than I do... well I stand corrected. Finally, the staff was really attentive and friendly, always anticipating our needs and making sure we were spoiled rotten all evening. Awesome place.

Currently still in the bar having cocktails!! CouldnвАЩt wait till I got home to leave a glowing review. Have really enjoyed my evening tonight at Papillon! Love staff, great service, high quality drinks and food. Looking forward to becoming a Papillon regular.

Always have a great meal in here and the drinks are great and reasonably priced. Dogs are allowed in the conservatory area which is very handy for me. If i had one criticism it would be that it is always very cold in the conservatory! Im sure it'll be fine in the summer months though.

Had drinks here on Friday night. It was busy with a private function but the barman was chatty and helpful. Drinks were off but he suggested alternatives and offered a taste. Nicest loos I've seen for a long time. Will be back.
