About Parliament House Hotel Edinburgh
Sitting quietly at the foot of Calton Hill down a short cobbled lane, The Parliament House Hotel Edinburgh enjoys a tranquillity that belies its city centre location.
Parliament House Hotel Edinburgh Description
In a city renowned for it's heritage, the Parliament House Hotel has it's own extensive history. Jacobean and Georgian buildings have been carefully brought together to form an elegant fifty-three bedroom hotel. We’ve retained many period features and introduced a little local character as well to all our rooms. But we also move with the times and have incorporated all the latest in-room features today’s traveller expects (and tomorrow’s as well. )

Today we take a sneaky peaky into Room 5. Based in the Victorian wing of the hotel, Room 5 enjoys views of the cobbled Edinburgh lanes and Calton Hill.

What a lovely hotel .just what we needed , near to station and shops .warm and cosy , lovely comfortable bedroom. Comfy beds, and walk in shower was to die for. Food was great staff was great .thank you parliament house hotel for a great stay we would deffinatley be back
We are here for 5 nights. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. Our room did not have a view but that was not an issue for us. It was newly refurbished and very clean and comfortable.
The hotel is an easy 8-10min walk from Waverley Station. Some people have mentioned a steep climb to the hotel. This is not necessary as if you follow Princess Street along to Carlton Hill it is almost flat, so not an issue.
It is in such a convenient location you can easily walk to the touris attractions.
We got the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus routes and followed these on foot which meant we got to all of the attractions.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Very good hotel, we have been there for several times, our favored stay in Edinburgh, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and clean
Top location and excellent service in this hotel. Spent 4 nights over Xmas and loved every minute.
Just a few minutes walk from Princes street, John Lewis, Theatre district
Will definitely return soon.
The location is a perfect midway point between Old Town & New Town. The single room is cozy and the bed was bigger than expected. It's tucked away from the noise of the city, right at the foot of the gorgeous Calton Hill! I couldn't ask for a better place to rest my head after staying in a hostel for four day ... it's budget-friendly without sacrificing old-school charm & class! I stayed in the old building but found it comfortable and clean all the same. Hope to stay here again if I ever find myself in Edinburgh.
The hotel was warm and welcoming when we stayed at the beginning of February. Our room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We just ate breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. I'd recommend this hotel and would love to stay again xx
Really convenient and cosy hotel we had an excellent stay. Lovely staff and enjoyed the restaurant great new winter menu. We will definitely go back.
Just home from an overnight stay at this hotel, excellent location close to all the main places to go. Hotel is lovely and quiet and staff were great. Will defo go back and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh
Great location, food is spot on. Our room was pretty good too
Great location short walk into the town centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was lovely good selection on menu. Would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic little hidden away gem of a hotel. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Recommend this hotel totally.
Fabulous hotel close walking distance to city centre and train but hidden and out of the busy hustle and noise odd edinburgh. Staff are fantastic. Have stayed here many times now
Excellent hotel in the New Town district. Quite and easy walk to most attractions, and decent restaurant downstairs.
A real find. Very close to the station. Excellent breakfast, low rates, friendly staff. Beautiful interior.
What a lovely find, lovely room and friendly staff. We just had breakfast and it was very good. Will definitely return and would recommend to anyone ,a very central location but very quiet as it is tucked away
We had a 2 night stay here with friends , this hotel is in an amazing place , situated very close to the theatre , train station and lots of other places .
Staff are all very friendly , helpful , caring , rooms were comfortable and spacious,Bistro was very nice as was the food , would highly recommend this hotel .
Fabulous hotel. Great location and really friendly receptionist! Would absolutely stay there again. You only got 4 stars cos the towels were a bit small. Bath towels rather than bath sheets. Fix that and you're 5 star!
Easy to get to not as easy to park but you have choices just minutes away .
Room good bed comfy warm .friendly staff smiling great choice at breakfast ..if I'm back in Edinburgh that's where I will go . 5 mins to the playhouse.
Great location, very friendly & helpful service, very comfy beds but badly requires some money spent on the bedrooms. Bath was grotty & stained, toilet lid all scratched & stained making it look dirty, the carpets in the bedroom were badly stained. Certainly not worth the money ...... £265 for one night B&B is very steep for everything not to be perfect. Also the lighting in the bedroom is terrible, could not see properly to get ready for a night out.
