Beautiful place to visit with very interesting guided tour. The food in the stables tea room was wonderful and all the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Poor Service. Traveled over 2 hours with Grandparents and children specifically to visit Paxton House this afternoon. This was our first time and unfortunately arrived 4 MINUTES late for the 1530 tour. Entered the reception area to be met by a disgruntled guide who after rolling her eyes informed us that she had already called her husband for a lift hame (i think that means home) so the tour wasn't on. Small minded approach to business. We will stick to National Trust going forward who always guarantee a minimum standard of service. Very disappointed children and very unimpressed parents. You must be so proud.

Nice place for a walk. Had a decent play area for the kids. Good view along the Tweed. Never been in the house.

Loved the house tour, thanks to our guide Wilma. She was a fount of knowledge and made the tour so interesting. The tearoom was swamped at lunchtime, although we did get our food, but much quieter later in the afternoon. Scones were amazing. Thank you Paxton House staff, I am planning another visit soon

Great for a walk with the dog. If a hot day shaded down near the Tweed river. Picnic tables available under the trees near the house. Beautiful gardens.

Beautiful house with Beautiful grounds, there are walks along the river Tweed, fishing sheil museum and kids play area.

We were short of time so only visited the grounds and tea room. Both were great and for the grounds only it was £3.50. The walk went down to the Tweed through the the Well Garden and along the river passing the Salmon fishing boats and lookout returning via a stream through impressive pine forests

The tea room had a good choice of teas, cakes and coffee and the location in the old stables was quite nice with cosy cubicles meant for horses
