went there for first time last night was a great experience very entertaining great live music fantastic entertainment great bunch of people all the performers peformed brilliantly will definitely go again and would recommend this place for anyone who wants a great night out!

Whilst waiting for my car to be fixed today we stumbled across this gem! The staff were so welcoming and fantastic at entertaining my 2 year old whilst I enjoyed a nice cuppa. Thankyou so much for all your help today, you really did put a smile on my face and I will 100% be coming to visit again soon!

What a little gem - hard to find if you're driving past it too fast! but well worth a visit. Lovely people inside and the live music was divine.

Walked in and immediately felt at home.. so welcoming, and non judgemental... everyone was so supportive of each other... Just a great night, listening to some great music and fun lyrics...

The perfect little venue for my EP launch party & for other intimate gigs.

The staff are always super friendly, welcoming and show so much support and love for the local musicians and performers. I'm moving to University at the end of the week & out of all of the music venues in Southend, this is the one I will miss the most!

Peggy Sues's, what a great venue for a party. My daughter had her 18th birthday here on Saturday & the staff were all very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. They even have outdoor space if the weather is nice. Can highly recommend them. Thanks again for a great night Peggy Sues's!

Peggie sues music bar has a great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming ( great staff!). I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good night out!

My poetry spiritual home and has been for three years.

I went to the poetry event with my friends and had a lovely evening. I really enjoyed listening to the poetry and also the music entertainment was amazing talent, fantastic! The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I am visually impaired and I I have a Guide Dog who I took with me and she was made so welcome, which was lovely, thank you very much, look forward to coming back again and would recommend as a welcoming venue with brilliant entertainment.

Had roast beef today at Peggy's sue's best roast I've had in a long time and the pancakes for dessert were amazing, defo be going back

Finding myself in Rayleigh on a Thursday night, I found this open mic venue. They made me very welcome from the start (thanks Jane), and I had a great evening of entertainment.



If you just want to hear some great music, the hosts tonight - Joe and Chris, were excellent, as were other people who stepped up to the mic.



If you want to play (as I did), they make you welcome and the people there are all great, musicians and punters alike.



Thanks for a great evening, and I hope to see you again soon - if you can bear my ukulele ditties!

Can’t thank Peggy Sue’s enough for the fabulous 30th birthday they did for my niece. Staff were all amazing, the band was fabulous, and the food was great! Brilliant night!

Best bandeoke experience ever! Thanks for making us feel so welcome and at home. Didn’t expect to find such a gem on our trip to the beach.

A real little gem of a music bar, very hard to find these days, very quirky, great atmosphere & the couple of gigs we have seen so far have been excellent . Looking forward to seeing more of their local talent. Can’t comment on the food as we have only had drinks there, but great little place.

Nice little place, price of drinks went up as bands started bit off but ok.atmosphere Was really good apart from one table talking through each song really brining vibe down. If u wanna chat go elsewhere not somewhere where ppl wanna listen to local bands.

Nice bar, reminded me of a bar I used to drink in in Devon. Live music of various types. Might become my local as nearest to me, as long as I can get past my heebie jeebies about potential poets on open mike night :)
