We will be open from 2-8 on Christmas day and all we require is a £10 deposit per person. Hi everyone our waitress Karis would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has put money in to her tub in the restaurant towards her trek in the Sahara Desert for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland. Karis emptied the tub for the third time yesterday and counted a fantastic total of £100.77! Thanks again😊!

We have been having your food for a few mths now & it is so very lovely we had to come into the Restaurant itself and try it, & wow so much more better then take away everything was so tasty & we will defo bring family back for more.

Best Chinese in Fife! Delicious food, staff are so friendly and welcoming to our two little girls. Very family orientated, always reminds us of being abroad as the staff really make a fuss of the kids and even provide toys etc. Have eaten in here many times and never once been disappointed

Visited for the 2nd time , both times on the way home to East Lothian from Burntisland . There were 5 of us. We were the only diners but it was early in the evening . There were a few people in for takeaways . We all enjoyed our meal . 2 small complaints_ I would have liked more sauce with my prawns and mushrooms and my daughter did not enjoy the chips . The staff were pleasant . I would definitely return if I was in the neighbourhood .

Great for takeaway but overpriced for meal sitting in. Best prawn crackers in scotland !

Sadly on this occasion when I got home after collecting my takeaway, I realised they didn't pack all my order so had to make do with the chicken dish and no side dish. They could have delivered the missing dish but didn't offer. Shame because normally very good but not in this occasion. They offered to give me the side dish for 'free' next time! They have missed the point as I have already paid for it. �

Average. Ordered salt and chilli chips, seasoning was fine but they came as curly fries which were a bit overdone. Will give another chance on the main dishes in future

We've been using this restaurant for take aways for many years and always been really happy with it, however on the last couple of occasions the food has been disappointing. We ordered chicken in oyster sauce tonight and it was swimming in grease and certainly didn't taste like it usually does. My husband ordered duck in plum sauce which didn't look or taste appetising at all!

Has this restaurant been taken over?

The food here is amazing! But the staff are useless. Walk by tables needing drinks orders, not giving menus to those being seated, napkins lying on the floor which were walked by several times by staff and bookings coming in have to wait for tables to be cleared and set even thought the table has been empty for 30 mins. They all need a good kick up the bottom I'm afraid. Instead of being a knock out restaurant which I would use all the time, it just frustrates the life out of me. This place really does need two decent front of house staff who are on the ball and get rid of the ones checking makeup in mirror when customers are trying to get her attention. So very frustrating.

We, and several other customers were given discount last night but instead of giving away money and dealing with angry customers, please just get your act together. Such a waste of what could be a fantastic place.

On the way home from a lovely day out we decided to go for a nice meal and choose this restaurant I wish to god now I hadn't. We arrived at 5.45pm didn't get our drinks order taken till 6.05pm at which point we were ready to walk out. We placed our ordered and waited an hour and 5mins for our main course during this time carry out meals were flying out kitchen the phone was being answered and people waiting in restaurant for take always were getting there's. When our meal arrived it was shocking the tasteless and the chips were a disgrace. We ate what we could and left immediately without a desert which we were charged for in the meal complained and I was told sorry we're very busy tonight. There were 4 tables taken total 12 people it was shambles. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was late. 1 hour 35 mins. Chicken in sesame "honey" sause is actually golden syrup sauce. What a let down. Curry sauce was really watery. Chowmein was okay

Food was basically fine, once we eventually got it. Take-away and delivery orders seemed to get priority over the (few) customers seated in the restaurant. One of the main courses was delivered as a chicken dish, not the beef as ordered. The replacement dish arrived promptly, showing that the take-away orders were getting priority.

Cannot recommend for sit-in.

We visited last Thursday for my mums birthday. The restaurant was grubby and dingy and a bit dirty, plates chipped. The waitress wasn't particularly friendly but to be fair she was the only one there so was rushed off her feet. They brought my mum the wrong starter so we had to start without her then the main course was pretty bland. We had lemon chicken and garlic spice chicken - couldn't tell them apart. The lamb was inedible a very cheap cut and fatty. Everything else was average at best. It is extremely overpriced too for what it is - essentially a very mediocre Chinese.

We having been using Peony Inn for years for both dine in & take away, unfortunately we won't be using the restaurant again. Tonight I placed a food order & was told 30-45 minutes which was fine. 1 hour & 15 minutes passed & no sign of food. Queue the Hulk like hunger rage!!!



I called to find out what was happening to be told it's on it's way! Finally the food arrives 1 hour 30 minutes later, double the amount of time & if I knew it was going to be 90 mins I would have went & collected the food myself.........from Hong Kong!



The food was freezing cold & the order was wrong. The red mist comes down!!! We ordered Crispy Shredded Beef with Satay Sauce. We received what can only be described as pieces of dog shit dipped in salt & a tub of sweet & sour sauce. We also ordered a large fried rice as this was to share between two people. We received a normal portion or rice albeit we paid for large portion. The rice was enough to feed a couple of sparrows if you were lucky!



Sadly this place was always reliable for a decent Chinese, however the last 3 take aways we have ordered have been the wrong food, took far too long & was cold.



Friendlies Chinese in Inverkeithing will get all my business from now on.
