My switch to People's Energy was straightforward and stress free. A minor issue with my first bill was sorted out within hours with one phone call to a real human being!!! Nice simple website and reading are easy to enter and my account is updated very quickly so I know exactly where I am with my account. Keep up the good work.

Just swapped from British Gas. Saving around Β£200 per year. And so far the service I have received has been so friendly, efficient and welcoming. And they are a mutual so their customers are at the heart of everything they do.

Just changed from EDF and saved Β£156 a year. Great to be with a company that puts it customers first and not the fat cats at the top. Excellent customer service too.

I have signed up. Heard about them through Which magazine. The telephone is always answered quickly, the staff are really pleasant and the tariffs are much cheaper than any others. Long may this continue.

I cannot rate this company highly enough.

The customer service is excellent. I have only had to phone in a few times since my switch and you definitely get the ' we care about our customers ' response. Today for example they had a problem with their phonelines and I was cut off. Less than 6 min later I got a return call from Holly, the customer service agent who I had just been speaking with. After years of dealing with the big 6 companies, both personally and professionally, I can honestly say you would NEVER get this level of care from them. Well done team at People's Energy.

I also signed up from the start , always got a reply to any questions, ive now got chaper electric, cheaper standing charge , no prob changing, stuff british gas who dont treat there customers with any respect, and rip people of , electric is something everybody needs its not a wish or fad, I hope the big six suffer, for there arrogence to the public , good luck to peoples energy........

Great customer services and they deliver what they promise. When you call, you speak to a person rather than 'pressing 1 for...' etc. They return phone calls and emails when they say they will, but for me, the best thing is the price! My bills have come down by about 25% from my previous supplier (Scottish Power) and there is a promise of a further reduction in due course. Support this ethical, green energy company and switch from those big money grabbing corporates!

Bit of a mix up regarding bill called today first class response spoke to a lovely girl she was unable to help straight away she called her colleague and together they fixed the problem. Such a welcome change to speak to people who ACTUALLY CARE. excellent customer service well done everyone

I have edited my original comments to better summarise my issues.



I switched to Peoples energy in November 2017 for Gas and Electric. No problem with Electric. Got access to the customer section of the website without any problem. Spoken to customer service a couple of times. Friendly on phone and easy to speak to.



The problem is my Gas account. I discovered the problem after 1 month after i was asked to submit a meter reading for my first bill. Few minutes later received my bill. The electric bill was correct but despite having my correct opening and 1 month meter readings for Gas, these were ignored and i received a bill with estimated readings and estimating 33% higher than i actually used, despite knowing exactly how much i had used.



I am advised they used an Industry opening meter reading when opening my account (which was far higher than actual, due to my Gas use dropping a lot in recent months)



I raised my concerns and I am advised that People submitted a dispute straight away to be able to use my correct meter readings. It appears to me that the dispute only took 1 week to process as my correct opening reading (closing reading with old supplier) was accepted by my old supplier and they settled my account a week later, still December 2017.



Now 2 months later, mid February 2018, my Gas account has still not been corrected. I am advised be People that they have not received a response from my previous supplier.



As such for me a disappointing experience with this company to date. Now in process of switching to alternative suppliers.



Even though I am not happy and leaving i do hope the company does well in the long run and everyone else has a great experience.



Hopefully my issues will be a one-off and not the norm. As a customer if my account is not correct with any company it is not for me to know or certify why or where any fault may exist but i would advise everyone no matter which company you are with for Gas / Electric always check your bills carefully to make sure you meter readings are correct and your bill reflects your actual usage.
