***ANNOUNCEMENT***
We are offering another block of classes! πŸŽ‰
πŸ… We teach all the necessary skills that your dog will need for every day life, e.g. loose lead walking and recall.
... 🏞🏠 We do this in both an indoor and outdoor environment as it's important that your dog learns to focus on you and ignore all the distractions presented by these environments.
πŸ‘ Force free and positive training only is applied in classes.
Classes begin on Saturday the 29th of June until Saturday 10th of August (11am until 12pm) at the cost of Β£60. Please be aware there will be no class on Saturday the 20th of July as my glamorous assistant Mr Glen and I are away on our holidays. There is no charge for that week.
Please contact asap if you're interested as spaces are limited! Send a private message or email us at perthshirebsd@gmail.com.

Week 6 - As it was our last week, we decided to have a bit of fun. We all took part in a "life skills obstacle course" putting into practice everything we have learnt over the block. We had so much fun that we forgot to take a wee video! So here's a clip from one of our previous classes together. 😊

Week 4 - Some more loose lead training this week, but in a new environment. It's important for dogs to train in different environments to desensitise to that environment and to focus on their owner while ignoring distractions. Good work guys! 🐢

Week 3 - it's been such a busy 3 weeks in class that we've not had time to update you on our learning! Last week we did get a short video of us learning how to walk to heel on lead. Gold stars all round for braving the rain and working hard! 🌟

It's really important to remember this rule in the warm weather! β˜€οΈπŸ˜ŽπŸΆ

We will learn the difference next week at class!

Wee Bailey came to me as a very nervous boy after being attacked. But, after slow introductions to other dogs and hard work by his mum, he can now happily join in play with the other dogs in the class. Well done Bailey and his mum Susan McGowan Clark!

Today was the last day of our block together. We spent the morning learning how to leave and stay. We also practiced our roadwork outside! Its really important for dogs to train outdoors as well as indoors to learn how to break focus from distractions.
Really enjoyed working with everybody in this block and wish you well as you continue your training at home. You're all super stars! 🌟🐢

Week 5: Just a small class this morning but that didn't stop us learning vital skills! We practiced our stays and started on the "leave" command. Here's a wee clip of Bailey showing how it's done!

At PBSD, we only use positive, force free techniques when training. Only the best for you and your baby! πŸ’•πŸΎ

Week 4: This week we took advantage of the good weather and trained outside. We worked hard on our loose lead walking and recall with all the distractions. We even got to try some roadwork! Good work guys. πŸ‘

Happy Mothers Day! 🐢🌷🌺

Week 3: This week's focus was on desensitisation. We worked with Maze and Bailey to overcome their fear of big black dogs, while Maya and Rhoshko demonstrated good dog behaviour by remaining calm and focussed on their owners. We even got to work outside! Gold star to everyone for their hard work. 🌟

Yes, it's cute and it's funny to see your pup chase after the light but it will actually lead to many behaviours you don't want your pup to develop! Please think before using a laser pen for play.

Week 2 of our second block! Unfortunately, weather did not permit us to train outside so instead we learned how to settle and the importance of dog socialisation. Look how relaxed and happy we all are on our beds! 🐢🐾

User

Week 1 of our second block kicked off this morning! I was very impressed with how quickly everybody picked up the focus games. Can't wait to get started on some outdoor work next week! 🐾
