Good on the face of it but once you dig into their offers they're no different to anyone else. Even their "no pressure" sales policy falls apart as soon as you show interest in something.
Their after care warranties are ridiculously convoluted, I had to drive to Edinburgh to get a repair under warranty when I live near two of their Glasgow stores. Once we were there they then had to order the parts from Glasgow!
They get two stars because they are generally friendly and do try hard.

Terrible service; wife was in today with a 3hrs = lots of time to find things to pass the time) but nobody interested in looking after a current vehicle owner. Avoid.

Just wanted to share my recent experience with the Service Team at Peter Vardy BMW Edinburgh. I own an X5 and a 335i Coupe and they are both maintained and serviced at Peter Vardy, I had some serious issues with the X5 recently but I have to say that the team at the dealership have been absolutely outstanding in their handling of the problems and could not have been more obliging and professional. I would like to particularly thank Rory, the Service Manager, Jordan who was my main contact and liaison throughout and Sean the technician who actually worked on the car. Many thanks guys as it was a challenging set of circumstances and it was a brilliant team effort resulting in an excellent result...

It's very easy to complain when things go wrong, however it is usually overlooked when you receive good service. I was dealing with a very nice gentleman on the service desk called Ryan, and I felt compelled to inform you that the level of service I received has been outstanding.

Ryan is a credit to your company, and has exceeded my expectations with the level of service I have received - going above and beyond the call of duty.

I myself own a retail company with multiple outlets, and I would be very proud indeed to receive feedback like this about my team members. I will leave it there, but I will definitely be recommending your garage - due the service received from Ryan.

UPDATE - Great Experience!!!!

Previously I'd written a poor review due to a couple of bad interactions I with Peter Vardy BMW, which fell below expectations. Shortly after writing the review, Karen Taylor from the dealer responded to my negative feedback and asked if I could get in touch. From there my experience has been nothing short of fantastic! They have bent over backwards to address my previous complaint, looking at the car/deal I wanted and far exceeding expectations, both for the deal itself and the actual sales/collection process. I'd spoken to the General Sales Manager, Sales and the Guest Experience Team, all of whom were friendly, understanding and overachieved, which resulted in a complete turnaround in my perception of the dealer and ultimately the purchase of a new car (M140i).

I can't recommend this dealer enough if you're looking to buy a BMW. I change my car every 2 years or so and have had a lot of hit and miss experiences with dealers, but this was fantastic. If you've ever had a less than stellar interaction with this dealer, I recommend that you get in touch with their Guest Experience Team, to give them the opportunity to resolve whatever complaint you may have.

I would recommend this dealer on the back of the sheer effort they put in to turn things around, ensure I was happy with the deal and customer care after my purchase. A big thanks to James (GSM), James (Sales) and Karen and Sarah (GEM) for all your hard work, very pleased with the end result.

Exceptional customer service provided by both Karen and Nadia who were able to resolve a couple of issues I had. Nothing seemed like too much trouble and my request for a larger courtesy car on the second occasion was arranged...Karen even arranged to have it dropped off at my house in Glasgow and collected the following day to save me a couple of journeys through.

They both exceeded the level of customer service I'd expect from a BMW dealer and will definitely return when it's time to buy a new car.

Bought a used bmw m sport from them with both two front bold tyres and dpf filter nearly dead. This is how they check the cars before handling them to the customers!!! Shocking!!!

Where do I start. Peter Vardy BMW Edinburgh
Staff extremely incompetent. So today I take my brand new BMW M2 in for its run in service. Last week it flashed up 1200 miles contact BMW so on my return to the UK I called Peter Vardy and was told no worries just bring it in on your return. Before I left two staff members were made aware the date for delivery of the car was important as I was leaving for Germany on a supercar run an near 2400 mile journey I was assured this was all ok and that I was to send images from my adventures no issues. Today I popped in and the lady mentioned something about a cost? As every BMW I have ever bought I Always purchase service inclusive and especially when purchasing an M car I would have been mad not to. I questioned this 'cost' to be informed I did NOT have service inclusive. Originally I ordered a DCT M2 at a later date I changed my order to a Manual M2, with no heated seats, no Peter Vardy benefits or BMW protect pack. Finally I amended this to add the heated seats back on. Never once did I request for service inclusive to be removed. Never mind two items I asked to be removed to be left on the order. Today I was informed I had no service inclusive and at some point a member of staff removed this. I was then informed it was too late to add service inclusive even if I was willing to pay?! And to kick the foot in because I went over 1200miles there's was no come or go it went past its run in check so they couldn't service it anyway?! Baring in mind on collection of the car staff was aware of this and told me there was no issue what so ever and to bring it in on my return. 3 hours spent with a manager. No solutions, not even an attempt to contact BMW UK to resolve the matter. I asked if I traded in my M2 for one they had in stock would they give me a service pack they said yes it was the only way but I'd loose money on a trade in?! So yes I broke down in tears with no options I choose to leave. I will not suffer nor pay for a staff members mistake of removing my service pack I asked for and never asked to be removed. Also to be wrongly advised regarding my first run in service of there being no issues. So grudgingly I left Peter Vardy BMW and can say over the years having got two cars from there I will never return nor recommend them! That's not to mentioning failing to tell me BMW no longer provide 7day insurance as they thought I would have known and the salesman is just not used to saying it anymore. SO... Off to Douglas Park BMW Stirling ten minutes and guess what. Resolved. Car has been purchased within a certain amount of time Service Pack can be purchased separately no issue and booked in for Run in Service tomorrow morning. One phone call to check was all it took. Thank you to the staff at Douglas Park Stirling for assisting me. The same can not be said for Peter Vardy BMW Edinburgh. I can only suggest your salesmen check requirements before saying things are ok to do, informing customers fully about changes to BMW protocol and investigating fully options before leaving customers to leave the showroom with no options and in tears. Share if you wish. An official complaint has been sent to BMW UK.

Terrible service. I bought a new car from them at the beginning of the year. I was wanting to upgrade so thought I would go with them again. The 1st time I called and spoke to the sales person it took 24 hours to get back to me. I missed the call so called again. Then took hours to get back to me and I missed the call so was sent a video message. Called today and was told they were with a customer and would call me back. That was 4 hours ago! Called the dealership again but always get the answer phone.
