Loving our new car, from going in to just look and coming out signed up to a new Fiat 500X. Coffee was excellent. Steve especially did a great job understanding our needs. Sure there was some delays but the delays resulted in us getting a car we love. Collection day went well, again they have a system to follow and that can irritate some people. All we missed out on was our yellow duck. Did we mention the Daily Record to often, Chris?

Just want to say I am so glad I didn’t read these reviews before heading to Hillington car store ! Chris did everything in his power to get me my dream first car! The first one didn’t work out with one insurance company as I don’t have my licence yet.. but the second car was even better than the first! Calls/texts back and fourth were excellent made me feel comfortable and reassured! Excellent service from everyone that dealt with me, so thanks so much again !

I have now bought two cars myself from Hillington branch and have recommended four other to purchase from here. All of us have had a great experience the sales manager stevie is a an honest guy which is very hard to come by in car salesmen, I change my car every 18 months to two years and always went with the other big car sales garage and all I can say is I will never go back to them. Got a better trade in price with Peter vardy. I always go in knowing exactly what I want, last time my car had to be brought in from another site and was there when I was told it would be for my test drive. Never had a problem with either of the cars I have purchased from them.

For any customer reading this any issues with your car from Peter Vardy don’t phone, it’s a waste of time, turn up at the door.

Make sure to get your sales rep personal contact because once you put that deposit down customer service from the hand over is Zero.

Check over your car before taking it away, my car didn’t even have a rear wiper blade on collection�. #simple

Glad to say half a year down the line my car is now in full working order & I’m putting that down to the new guys in after sales, knowing the guys were landed with a tough role & had a whole load of mess to clear up, they we’re excellent on demand :)

What an awful experience we had yesterday at this garage. I made an appointment to see a vehicle, when we got there I spent ages waiting for a salesperson to attend to us when someone eventually did they came back to advise us that the vehicle had been sold. We drive an hour to get there so was less than impressed. When finishing our coffee we were advised that there was actually a vehicle the same as the one I had originally booked to come see.



I get the sense of dishonesty, the very poor service received from peter Vardy means that I would never return to this garage and recommend that my friends don’t either.

This company is terrible. From start to finish I have had a terrible experience with them. First micheal showed us the car dirty, and a different car that I had enquired about, finally after sorting out our deal 0% deposit they asked for a £100 refundable hold on the car that I would receive back after I got it.

First time I went to sign the document, they had all the documents wrong and the figures wrong so I refused to sign them until they where changed.

Second I went to collect my car to find they hadn’t fixed any of the scratches or fixed all the details that was agreed according to the deal however where pushing me to take the car and come back, I refused and asked they fix the car and they did I came back the third time to collect the car and again it was dirty hey hadn’t bothered cleaning it at all, finally I called to ask why the money hasn’t been put back into my account for them to state that it was a deposit... incorrect it was a hold, 7 calls to the seller Micheal and he hasn’t returned ONE of my calls so I asked to speak to a manager all of which where busy also for me the then demand to speak to someone who basically brushed me aside. Not a all a happy experience I recommend going to a different company. The after-sale experience is shocking to say the least.

Terrible experience from the outset.

The car was missing various parts, this was detailed by the sales person to be put right and we are still waiting. Would have thought it better to have the car in your showroom full equipped before you try and sell them.

The price varied thought out the sale, depending on which member of staff was talking at us at the time and getting more expensive as we went on.

We were misled by members off staff over coming in to sign the paperwork, which resulted in a lot of stress and additional work for us.

Customer service is appalling from contradiction on sale price and finance options, to lack of follow up care when it came to chasing the parts missing or addressing the engine warning light that came up on the way home, this has still not been addressed or any kind of phone call returned to offer support.



We have now booked the car in the the local Vauxhall garage to help us out.



We have used you before, and really enjoyed the service and support, we will not be using you again, as what should have been a happy experience buying a new car has turned into a nightmare.

Shockingly bad customer service and even worse after we decided to pull out of the deal as they were trying to give us a PCP deal for 5 years at 13.9% apr with a large deposit. The manager became very rude and didn't believe we already had a pcp at a much lower apr sending my husband cheeky text messages and advising he would refund the £100 deposit we had paid. After chasing the money we were advised it hadn't been put through and he was away on holiday. They are more interested in making you pay your top budget than actually trying to get you a deal that suits your needs.

Managed to get the same make and model at arnold clark which is a year younger had done 7000 less miles for the same price!!!

Sales team are good but that’s it really. Customer service are atrocious and will transfer you all over the place without anyone actually being able to help. Purchased a car in January, parts fell off of the car in April and I was told I would be responsible for the cost. Put a complaint in probably 8 weeks ago now and it’s the same old faff, no one willing to help. Completely useless and absolutley will never recommend anyone to buy from them �

Once you've bought a car they wash their hands of you. I've got a car thats not fit for purpose and has now been off the road for 34 days and still ongoing. No courtesy car no help nothing. I've incured lose of earning up to £1000 if not more, and I am still paying for a car I've not got and I only purchased this car less than 3 months ago. My advice buy elsewhere. Ohh and Mr vardy I'll be paying another visit to your branch tomorrow and no I won't be put in a corner like last time so nobody can hear me!!

I came in to the Car Store over in Hillington knowing exactly what car I wanted. The sales girl Lisa was lovely and took me straight to the car I was looking for. I booked in for a test drive the next morning but was very disappointed in the lack of knowledge about the car, all she could say was that it was a nice car? Luckily I did some research before I came over!

The sale and finance went through quickly but was VERY disappointed in the trade in I got for my car! I put my private plate on retention before buying the car so my log book would arrive on time. I was still charged a retention deposit of £200 and they charged me £80 to put it on retention which I had already had done! So when picking the car up the following week I explained this to one of the many managers and he said a cheque would be sent. It's now been nearly 4 weeks and still nothing!



Also didn't have my car 24 hours and it broke down! That was a complete shambles aswell!



All they seem to be interested in is getting your money. They don't give a toss after that. Shame as I was recommended by a friend. I will not buy another car from here.



UPDATE:

Its now a year down the line and i'm still having problems, I took my car to get its tyre changed and there was no security wheel nut, so i contacted Peter Vardy to ask them if they can do something about it as they did the '14 point check' before hand over! i was put on hold several times to be told i would get a phone call back, its now friday and still nothing! I sent an email yesterday aswell and still nothing! This is by far the worst company i have ever had to deal with, the customer service is absolutely terrible and i will be writing a formal complaint to a proper manager.

i have changed this review from a 2 star to a 1 star, which i still don't think they deserve.

AVOID at all costs, all they care about is getting your money.

I put this review on their website which has clearly been deleted as for some reason they have 5 star reviews! Its now been a week since i called and i still have not heard a peep! I cant express how much of a shambles this company is.

Got a new car from here at the end of February, got it home to realise it had been sold to us with a cracked alloy. They duly came out to me and replaced the alloy with a second hand one that needed refurbished. They were supposed to contact me to arrange getting this done, fit a Bluetooth kit and send me a spare key. So far none of this has happened. I’ve phoned 3 times, sent various emails and had nothing back. Avoid at all costs.



****Update - we are now into July, I’ve had a company contact me to organise getting the second key cut, but still nobody has phoned me back or contacted me regarding the tyre sensor OR the Bluetooth kit- 100% avoid this company******

Disgusting service from this company. Bought my daughter her first car and was told it would be ready in a couple of days and a week later still no car. Seemingly they bought it from an auction and was waiting on paperwork to arrive which was supposed to be post a week ago. Can never get to speak to anyone who knows anything to help. Being told each day someone will call me back but no joy. Have now cancelled the car. Will go somewhere my money is appreciated and be treated with some respect and not a mug.

Calling every day for nearly a week, Nobody ever available to speak to. When i do get to speak with somebody they don't listen then hang up because they don't know how to deal with my problem and cant be bothered to listen.



Absolutely shocking for a company of its size. Agents have little training on the phone to begin with, Cant even complete a simple transfer without being sent to the wrong departments.



I could go on but there is no point as this will also go unnoticed.



Avoid at all costs its not worth giving them your money. Take your money to another company that has a better rating than 1/10 on google. wish i seen that before getting my car.

At the moment I am 7 months pregnant,I bought a car 3 weeks ago from this company,biggest mistake of my life .. I have been put through so much stress the last 3 weeks trying to obtain a solution for this broken car (unfit for purpose) and unroad worthy both legal violations.. called 4 Times yesterday to speak with Alastair page after the call being marked urgent he never had the decency to call me back.while driving with my 9 months old nephew in the car yesterday it pretty much went started smoking from the front and back on the by pass leaving it extremely hard to see for myself and other drivers,I have to pull over and call the garage as this is Extremely dangerous,only to be told It was a tricky one � the car has already been fixed last week when the engine light came on I had sit in Glasgow for 7 hours (heavily pregnant) which I was told was my partners problem not theirs,as no Courtesy car could be offered ,I am told the car was fit for the road and at no point has anyone told me any different.if I were to keep driving this car it would most likely go up in flames,sleepless nights and stress over a car have cost me to seek medical advice and legal advice,I will be taking this further and I will be arriving in the store to speak to somone in person today.disgusting service

Absolutely horrendous company & would recommend no one makes a purchase from them. Sold me a car with an endless amount of issues, including a mechanical issue which, once investigated, deemed it unsafe to be on the road. Was unable to take the car back home until after repairs and had to fight for a courtesy car. Received zero contact during the 3 weeks my car was being held for. Had to visit the car store (Hillington) in order to receive an update as it is physically impossible to get anyone to call u back. Made a written complaint due to the service and issues I experienced and was told I would be refunded the money I spent on fuel in the courtesy car if I emailed the details over to the After Sales advisor. 2 emails to him, 1 email to the branch manager and a few phone calls and again, impossible to get a reply. I have also found further issues with the car and am owed money for various other reasons from this company that should have been refunded months ago. I can guarantee a middle-aged male would never have received the sort of service I have as a young girl. It appears they view me as an easy target to dispose of a disastrous vehicle that was never taken care of or ever checked over pre-sale and no one wishes to take my complaint seriously.

Absolutely atrocious customer service and after sales. Bought a vehicle that required some body work, however when we went to pick it up none of it had been done. It hadn't even been properly valeted. The vehicle went back in for what was supposed to be a morning job, by 5pm that evening I had to drive to the showroom as no one would return my calls to find out when the vehicle would be ready.

Vehicle returned the next day with only half the work done. The after sales manager is more interested in arguing than actually dealing with the issues presented.

Currently pursuing a complaint through the finance company to get some sort of resolution. This was raised a fortnight ago and still no one from the dealership has picked up the phone despite being instructed by the finance company to do so.



The worst car dealers I've ever dealt with. Avoid.

Bought a car on 22nd march 2017

Three months free warranty plus I bought the years extension warranty

Yesterday my gear box disintegrated.

I went to vardys last night

The two girls assured me that I was still covered

3 months plus a year thereafter.

So I went home and phoned the warranty folk who told me the extra warranty ran from the day I bought the car. Not from the day after their free three months.

So back to vardys and they couldn't care less.

They couldn't get us out the shop quick enough.

£4.5k for a well polished heap of shit.
