This was our first visit to Petit Paris, despite living in Edinburgh a long time. We were attracted by the Fondue Soirée - since we usually only have fondue on our annual trip to Switzerland. First, I was impressed by the staff and the authenticity of the restaurant; then by the amazing food; and also by the fact the staff were more than happy to let us practice our French on them! Superb, we will be back!

This is a great experience of authentic French cooking. The staff are attentive, friendly and professional and the food is excellent.

Superb! The food was well presented and delightfully cooked. I had sea bass and my husband a steak but we shared a bowl of mussels in blue cheese sauce which was out of this world. We would recommend the place to any traveller sadly we didn't have time to sample dessert due to time restraints as it was very busy food took time to arrive and we had to be at the tattoo � a great reason to go back and eat there again.

Such a lovely Sunday lunch with 3 special friends yesterday. Gloriously sunny, so we sat outdoors - April 2nd!!. Friendly service from all 3 waiters who looked after us. Delicious mushroom soup, then pan-fried cod to follow. We chose a sparkling wine, at the incredible price of just under £14! As pleasant as any prosecco :-). 1 friend had the chocolate tart for dessert & said it was the best dessert she'd ever had!! Cannot wait to return here - 10/10!

We went for an early dinner there, en route from the airport. We both had steak and it was very nice.

Local restaurant with great, friendly service and tasty, inexpensive food. Loved the onion soup. Portions perfect for lunch.

I started off with the French onion soup which was the best I’d ever had. Then on to the beef bourguignon which was excellent. Just when I didn’t think it could get any better I had a chocolate tart for dessert. Topped everything off with a bottle of wine. OMG everything was to die for. I’d eat there every day if I could.

I really enjoyed my lunch here today. The food was delicious & the service was perfect. I was alone for lunch & thoroughly enjoyed my meal & was made to feel welcome. The restaurant is clean, warm & you could almost believe you are in Montmartre. I loved how they topped up your coffee & didn't charge for it. I will definitely return again & work my way through the menu because everything that came to the tables looked delicious. I can recommend the French onion soup & the Creme Brûlée & the house red is more than palatable!

I chose from the pre theatre menu (off the board actually), French lamb stew. I also had a glass of House red.

The service was as good as you get in France : carafe d'eau and bread without having to ask for it, (normally unknown in Britain at the price). And the food was first class. Absolutely no minus points. Excellent!

I am French, and I love our cook. The Petit Paris's "Plat du jour" was excellent, the service impeccable and friendly. A very welcoming restaurant that I highly recommend ! Thank's for this moment. :-)

Had an amazing meal for my birthday. This place is amazing the food, the atmosphere and the staff all amazing. 5 stars is not enough. Will be back the next time I visit edinburgh

Had a great lunch during a very busy Edinburgh Festival. Food was superb as was the vino. Plenty bread and butter too provided free of charge and replenished on request by the attentive and very helpful staff. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be back.

Great service and perfect � fun atmosphere

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The lunch menu is fantastic value. My cheese and red onion tart was extremely tasty and the chicken dish was yummy. Three of our party had the boeuf bourguignon and said the meat was soft and tender and very tasty, and there was extra in the pot for second helpings. Simple rustic food cooked well, and a bonus if the sun shines and you can sit outside �

Beautiful food , great location , lovely staff , one of the nicest meals I have had , will definitely return.

Baskets of baguette throughout the meal, brisk efficient service and tasty bistro food. We had baked camembert, deep fried brie in filo parcel, Toulouse sausage and supreme of chicken. Fruit tart and chocolate tart were excellent. Great value...I would suggest cafetiere decaf coffee and a decent non champagne fizz on the menu to improve things further.

Lovely French feel to the place, no music, just conversation, good food and wine...perfect!

I had lunch after a tour at the castle. It was such a delightful meal picked from theirs lunch set. Definitely recommended.
