High class knowledge and skills built on more than three years in private practice and two working in the NHS. While in the NHS I worked mainly in orthopaedics and outpatients so have gained lot of knowledge, skills and experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Before this I also completed my masters degree specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

The physiotherapy I offer is different than most you will come across, in Shetland or Scotland. I study a very biomechanical approach (the science and physics of how the body should work) and my aim is to get the body doing what it's designed to do. I aim for 100% all the time, not 'good for your age' or 'ok considering. . . '. For most of us though, 100% is a work in progress - we're all at different stages of this journey and we can all do with a few pointers to keep going in the right direction.

I work with new injuries and old injuries; sports injuries and work injuries. I also strongly recommend annual movement checkups to help keep us as healthy and mobile as possible. There are warning signs and movement risk factors for most injuries. Unfortunately most of us miss these before it's too late. If we catch the warnings, we can help prevent the injuries!
