I've been to Pickled Ginger about 10 times now and can't wait to go back again! Always fresh, tasty food, lots of choice, relaxed atmosphere and great staff. The recent addition of Japanese Afternoon Tea is genius and such a great price! I'd recommend all the food and the popcorn tea пњљпњљпњљ

Had dinner here for the first time last night. Very impressed! Tried a few starters from the specials board and the yum yum chicken was amazing. Friendly staff and delicious cocktails too. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was amazing as usual especially the chef's special volcano sushi. But more than just quality of the food, tonight our visit was excellent with the customer service above par! We've turned up and table wasn't ready yet and only had to stand by the bar no more than 5 minutes but we were looked after so well by one of your female staff. Good chat, 2 free beers and 20% off our bill - definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Finnieston, we will be back soon!!

Fantastic food and great place to sit and relax and enjoy your food. Staff are excellent and make sure you have what you need. Great selection of dishes and not just sushi, what a lot of people think, great meat and chicken dishes as well. Great value for money, not to be missed

Additionally, the prices are very good. 23 pounds for quality sushi for 2 is a steal. Definitely coming back.

Amazing find, I loved it. Most of us had sushi and not one person complained. I had tofu for my starter and it was the best ive ever had. The first waiter to serve us made us all feel welcome by being very friendly and attentive. Although there wasn't much going on up top (he didn't know what a serviette was) he made up for it with his striking model looks, though looked like he belonged more in Glee than in front of house. He and the other waiters were always 'on it'.. ie, constantly making sure we were ok.

The tunes were "out there", ranging from Prodigy to Right Said Fred . Given the amount of toe-tapping tunes it ended up feeling more of a club vibe than that of a restaurant. None of us minded as we were a young group and it encouraged the flow of booze. Speaking of booze, we were all shocked at how reasonably priced it was.

This place is such a hidden wee gem. Would definitely recommend.

I order from this takeaway quite a lot, and i'm always left disappointed. Before I review a service I like to make sure that I take full advantage before I make a final decision.



First of all is my complaint with the takeaway service. If you are wanting a fast service, or ordering for a lunch break - DON'T. it takes an hour and a half for any order to arrive and my personal order was not at all big.



After waiting for an hour and a half I find myself in a situation where the portion sizes fluctuate in size. This is unacceptable that If (for example: chocolate mochi) I order an item that costs £3.95 that I receive less than what I pay for. The portion size changes on each occasion from 2 to 3 - yet the price always remains the same. If it costs that amount for it then count me out! I thought it was expensive enough for 3!



The sushi is mediocre, nothing to rite home about.



I'm waiting for the day that someone else opens another sushi takeaway in Glasgow. Perhaps OKO would be a better option in future.

When food takes 3 hours who gives a F what it tastes like. But if anyone's interested, the katsu curry was stone cold, the sushi was average. 20 mins late and I was told a chef had had a family emergency and the food would be out the door in two mins, 40 mins late and my partner was told the order had been messed up and needed to be redone and would be out the door in 5. Two different excuses.. mm

The wrong order was delivered cold. Not the best first impression. Don't offer a service if you can't provide it...

Second time home delivery. DonвАЩt know why I ordered a second time. First time was crap, second time was crap. Got an assorted sushi for one but ALL I got surimi and a piece of brown tuna that might have been pink in the morning. Never again...
