I was lucky enough to be invited on a tour of the V&A Museum of Design Dundee on Friday by Dundee City Council. I can’t and wouldn’t say much of the detail inside but the two galleries are well progressed and the main feature of the Scottish room Miss Cranston’s Ingram Street Tearooms designed by Rennie Mackintosh in 1907 is complete and is the jewel in the crown. Whatever you think it will look like inside it will surpass even the most ambitious expectations. The cleverness ...of design and attention to detail is beyond any building I’ve visited. Dark and menacing on the outside but light, bright and welcoming on the inside. I have no doubt that this is a building that will transform the future of Dundee. It’s time for all the business owners of Dundee to prepare themselves for the visitors that will come from the far corners of the world. Very proud to announce we’ve been shortlisted for two awards in the TheCourier.co.uk business awards. We’ve had a brilliant second year and taken so many lovely families out to see the delights of the Tay! Pretty much all trips have been put into booking system till End of July under book now(August to follow when I get the time). Plenty of space to book for the moment. If you have visitors or a special occasion don't hang about as some of these dates will go pretty quick! To book ahead click 'Book now' top of this page and follow the prompts. New boat for this year which is looking pretty awesome. Up to 11 at a time but if you need more seats we'll get our other boat Skua out too making a total of 18. We have a great team lined up fo this year and looking forward to a brilliant and Sunny Summer!!

What an amazing trip this afternoon! Can not recommend this experience enough. I’ve been waiting to get on the boat trip since last year and was definitely worth the wait. The dolphins were spectacular and I still can’t get over it’s on our front door step. The views were gorgeous as well. Definitely doing a trip again before the summer is over.

What an absolutely exhilarating trip on the Pirate Boat today. Lucky to see lots of dolphins, who put on an amazing dancing display for us. Then an exciting speed thrill to get an up close look at the impressive V&A. Would highly recommend this .....�

What a brilliant way to spend an hour, great to see Dundee , the Ferry and Fife from the Tay and get up close with the amazing dolphins.Also great to see the stunning V&A museum from a completely different angle, a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish.

What a beautiful day in Broughty Ferry on this fantastic River Tay Trip with Ian of Pirate Boats. Ian was a great guide. The trip came out of Broughty harbour, down The Tay to see the new V&A Museum then back down as far as Tentsmuir where we saw Dolphins � before returning into Broughty Harbour.

We loved it and would thoroughly recommend Pirate Boats.

We all had an amazing time dolphin watching yesterday.....all 22 of us! Thanks for catering for us all Ian..... had a great time on the water, in the sun.....and all saw the Tay dolphins!!

The haar cleared in time for us to enjoy the sunshine on the Tay, but not so lucky that we missed out on seeing any dolphins. Would not let that put you off as it was a great trip, and would definitely do it again!

Just back from a great birthday treat out on the boat, what a trip, was brilliant shooting about on Tay, with great commetary from the owners, this is a trip that should be taken by everyone to see just how beautiful the city is from the water, I couldn't recommend this enough, so why are you still reading this and get booking :)

I went out with my two, 10 and 7, and they had an amazing time, and I did too. We will definitely book again. No dolphins this time but we saw a very inquisitive seal. A great experience! Thanks again.

I was out on Sunday the 17th of June what an experience, great knowledge from the skipper on the sites and history of Dundee, the best part was seeing the dolphins putting on a show for us I feel so blessed to have seen them I will cherish this memory for ever, thank you xx Deborah Mcfarlane

Highly recommend this trip - we didn't see any dolphins tonight but that's ok as the experience was fantastic. Seeing the Ferry and Dundee then over to Tayport from the water was just lovely. Our crewman was lovely and made you feel at ease straight away,with informative commentary along the way. Will certainly be going again later in the summer ,with luck maybe see the dolphins next time but if not the experience itself was fantastic !! Please give it a go ...you won't be disappointed .

Fantastic trip out on the Tay this afternoon. Seeing the V&A from the water was amazing and we got to see some wild bottlenose dolphins up close, brilliant! Our first trip was cancelled due to windy conditions however the second trip was fantastic and was worth the wait, Great guys with lots of knowledge on the main attractions out on the water � if I could rate you higher than 5, I would!

Even though we didn't get the chance to see any dolphins it was still a great trip. Lots of information about Dundee docks and harbour, plenty chances to take photos, it was great! Will definitely be booking another trip. �

Brilliant trip everyone should do it at least once. Hoping to do it again soon. Very informative about things on and near the river. I you like speed you must do this. Matt

Booked for my grandsons birthday surprise. We unfortunately didn’t see the dolphins but we both loved it. I was worried about feeling sea sick but no chance. It was very stable and I felt very safe. It was really interesting with all our questions answered. A Ferry girl who is now 61 and still learning something new about the Tay!! I was relating my memories of the road bridge being built to another young lass sitting with her mum. I was sorry when our hour was up. Don’t miss it if you have the chance to go. I would go again.

Beautiful weather on the Silvery Tay today with friends visiting from Bordeaux so what a treat to see the dolphins and the V&A. Great trip guys thank you Highly recommend

Amazing, loved it, will definitely be back! The boat itself was such an adrenaline rush and seeing the dolphins just topped the day off superbly. I'd do it all over again just for the boat ride though! Highly recommend, great fun!
