It’s Shrove Tuesday, which can only mean Pancakes at Pitreavie. We practiced our weighing, measuring, pouring and mixing before the pancake batter was turned in to yummy pancakes!

As we are all very much aware, the Coronavirus has been spreading and a small number of cases have now been identified in the UK.

Important points to keep in mind are:
regularly wash hands thoroughly by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and warm water when coughing and sneezing cover your mouth and nose with the crook of your elbow or tissue – remember to throw tissue away immediately and wash hands avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever and cough, however mild.

Don’t you think our Chinese dragon is fantastic?

This month we’ve been learning about Chinese New Year through stories , music and art. We’ve practiced using chopsticks and we even made a dragon and paraded around the garden with it

Pitreavie Playgroup will be open on Monday 10th February to Thursday 13th February. We will be only be closed on Friday 14th February during half term.

Lots of unexpected fun today when a fire engine was spotted in our car park. We rushed out to see it and were lucky enough to be able to sit inside it and even try on the fire fighter’s helmets.

Legislation requires us to publish our duty of candour report.

The children came to Playgroup in their pyjamas and brought in their favourite teddy and book. The children learnt about Pudsey and what Children In Need does. We had craft activities, cake decorating and face painting for the children. Thank you to our families for their donations to Children in Need.

Friday 15th November: playgroup is open. As it is Children In Need on Friday the children can come in with PJ's and with their favourite book + Teddy. Donations welcomed.

Staff from Pitreavie Playgroup will be attending CSNIPs Information Evening and AGM. Come along to find out more about organisations that support pre school children with additional support needs.

The children came in dressed up for Halloween. Timmy and Ollie came in for a visit.

Thank you to past and present parents, and staff members, for bringing in bags of textiles for recycling. £57.60 was raised in our latest collection.

This morning we went to the woods. We climbed, explored and hid amongst the trees before having a picnic snack.
