plai theatre began in New York City by Helena Gleissner Judd as a not for profit performing arts group for people with special needs. After 2 successful years in New York, Helena, as well as plai theatre, has moved to Cambridge, United Kingdom.

plai theatre is now a space to promote performing arts programming in Cambridgshire as well as throughout the United Kingdom. Sharing information about Performing Arts groups in the area, plai theatre hopes to provide performing artists linked by able imaginations from outlets for self expression and advocacy.

plai theatre hopes to begin producing incusive performing arts festivals for people with disabilities in the Cambridgeshire area in the future. At present, Helena Gleissner Judd is bringing her knowledge, creativity and passion to Papworth Trusts' OWL Centre.
