Sat 29th September we have a charity night at the Platform. We will going live at 2030 for anyone who can’t make it along and would like to bid for some fantastic items and support a great charity . We have live music from The Impact at 2130 everyone welcome bar open as usual . If u can’t make it along on the 29th try and pop in for a coffee and cake on the 27th and 28th as we will be donating all sales of coffee cakes and £1 for ever pint of Schiehallion purchased on those days . There will also be a fantastic raffle on the night . We wish Robert and the team all the best for the big cycle . Please share folks

Wow, won a Burger Meal for two, took the family with us, which was no problem to the staff, who were attentive and very accommodating. The meal was beautiful and plenty of it, my son had the Cheese Burger and I had the Venison Burger both with hand cooked Chips Battered Onion Rings Coleslaw and salad, my husband and daughter both had Scampi and Chips, followed by Sticky Toffee pudding , Chocolate Brownies & Ice Cream... Very pleasant atmosphere , it's the first time I've been but definitely not the last........

Whoever rated this place less than 5 stars sucks. The ambiance and decor is great, the food is very reasonable priced for the quality and the beers are abundant.

Went for Sunday lunch with my family. Great food, great service, fantastic puddings. 5*.

We stopped for the lunch here the other day, food was excellent and with fresh veg at no extra cost � Service was excellent also, will definitely be calling in again. Thank you.

We stopped for a bite to eat on our way up the coast and enjoyed lovely coffees and home baking. Arrived in the middle of a rush so had to wait a wee while to get served but seats were comfy and staff very friendly. Great service and look forward to going back for lunch next time!

Part of a part of 11 on a golf trip that went in on Sunday 9th September and had a great evening with 11 very satisfied golfers.



As we were a large party, sensibly they asked us to pre-order starters and mains and this ensured that everyone was being served at the same time ����



Thanks again and look forward to visiting again.

My husband and I had our anniversary meal at The Platform on 3rd April. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.

Food was really tasty and potions just right! Service was efficient, attentive and hospitable. The restaurant itself is attractive and respectful of its past. Delighted the building, the old railway station has been lovingly and tastefully put to such good use rather than go to waste. Great place to go for a coffee and cake also. Baking excellent. Just saying �

It’s a great place, great food great craic and the staff are awesome

I've sung here a few times - smelling and seeing the wonderful food leaving the kitchen and although I had sampled the coffee and cake (delish!) I finally made it in for lunch last week - the prawn and avocado starter was lovely and the pork belly main was fantastic.........my friend was very happy with my decision to come to Platform 1864 for lunch as she's not been before...oh and the staff are really friendly and lovely too!!

Food was delicious and lots to choose from, staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. There was live music that added to the atmosphere and made our evening that but more special.

First visit and we will certainly be back!! Lovely food served in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with first class service. Thank you all very much.

First time here at the Platform and will deffo be back very soon with the girls!!

Excellent. What more can I say. A must if you are visiting or live in Tain.

Excellent service was acknowledged as soon as we walked in and asked if we had booked we said no which was not a problem. We were taken to a table and given a menu also asked what drinks we would like. We both went for the fish and chips which I would highly recommend you cannot beat homemade chips.

5 of us came for food and drinks this past Saturday and had a fantastic time. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and we were made to feel very welcome. It’s the first time I have been here in over 2 years and I will definitely be back sooner than that next time!

1st visit ! had lunch here today with my son, food was soooo good, lovely friendly staff, loved it, will defiantly be back

I went in for the first time last night with my friend. I ordered the oriental beef with noodles I specifically advised the waiter I couldn’t do mushrooms as I was allergic to them Not a bother her said out comes dinner looking lovely but as I was just going thru noodle to separate There was 4 large mushrooms I couldn’t eat the rest I informed the waitress and she said oh sorry!!!! No management came to see if we were ok after So disappointing They need to take better care about what goes on plate. I didn’t get an apology �
