We can't believe that Colin James Tennant: Easterhouse on Film sold out well in advance! It's a short film featuring stories of people living in the East End of Glasgow. During the spring and summer of 2018, photographer and filmmaker Colin James Tennant met and collaborated with a number of older Easterhouse residents and artists.

Last night was our last show to film in June and the end of a very busy dance show season for us.

We want to thank all who booked us, it’s always wonderful to see the kids put their heart and souls into each performance, encouraged by the dedication (not forgetting the blood, sweat and tears) of their teachers .

We would also like to say a BIG thank you to the amazing staff at the Platform. Every time we return you treat with professionalism, kindness and a friendliness that makes us look forward to seeing you all again. Thank you Kenny for taking up my coffee challenge and making me the most amazing pick-me-ups. Thank you to Shelby and Zara; nothing is ever too much trouble for you. Thank you also to techs Paul & Davie and to all of the friendly staff.

See you all again soon

Just back from seeing Rapunzel with my husband and 3 year old. It was an amazing performance with great actors, and my little girl was engrossed the whole time. Wish I had known about this place sooner! I only found out about it as my husband designed their website and was telling me about them. We will definitely be back!

User

I was at the platform for my granddaughter,s dance show ,this was our third visit lovely staff great atmosphere for all the dancers

User

I thoroughly enjoyed the show yip Chinese Choir from Hong Kong, had a great wee night there first time as I live in Renfrewshire and normally go to Renfrewshire Leisure Arts so this was a change for me being in a Glasgow Life Venue ! I All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I am a Glasgow girl originally!!

User

I am familiar with Platform for a few different reasons. I used to work with a group of young people with support needs and we would perform there - the support we received by the staff there, particularly the technical team was brilliant. A really welcoming atmosphere for the young people and their families.

I'm also familiar with it as an audience member - a great place to come and see a show - great programming.

And now that I'm a Mummy I have just recently been to my first Play Cafe - totally loved it!

User

Filmed at the Platform theatre on numerous occasions over the years.. the venue is fantastic and staff are amazing and very helpful.

User

Fantastic venue with excellent staff, what more can you ask. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a venue.

User

Fabulous theatre great watching my daughter perform in her first musical FAME and i traveled all the way from South Wales to watch it

User

What a great community hub in Easterhouse and great to see that it is so well used, even on a Sunday afternoon. We were welcomed at the cafe before a performance and found the facilities bright and engaging. The theatre space was brilliant and what a well equipped library. My only recommendation would be to warm up the theatre, it was really cold. But I'll definitely be back!

User

I went to see rapinzel with kids of various ages and there was something for all ages. The 3 actors/singers were amazing. The show was shorter than I thought which was good for younger kids but not expected by older kids. The advertising let it down as it did read as if for younger kids but all ages including the 12 and 13 year old we had with us loved it!!! The cost of the show was fantastic value for money. Hidden gem, shame the theatre was not full should have been, so many people have missed a great show. Will definitely be back
