A new review received today from Dora and George whose wedding I did a few weeks ago in Aberdeen. It was an especially interesting wedding for me as Dora was from Nigeria and Jorge was from Portugal. My song requests were mainly Nigerian and I had to do lots of things that I’ve not done often before as Nigerian weddings are totally different from Scottish weddings with different customs and traditions. My job was to play the ceremony music, then music during the meal and to p...rovide microphones for speeches, then do the evening reception. It was a fun wedding to do as I like to see and experience different cultures. The guests were all very friendly and welcoming and the shoe game with Dora and Jorge was exceptional as they got the highest score I’d ever seen!

That’s me just got home at 5.28am and I’m supposed to be going to the confetti awards in Glasgow this morning at 8am to take my equipment into a venue whose access is a nightmare and set up and play 3 songs. Given a choice of bed or an award I’ll take bed! The consensus amongst Djs is that these awards are only good for marketing as realistically they don’t represent our industry and only a tiny percentage of Djs actually enter them. I’d like to thank everyone who voted for m...e and got me into the finals as that was much appreciated. I’ve always said the best award I can get is the thanks of my clients and their guests at the end of a great night and meeting so many lovely people. These include in particular, Danny and Marion Mcilwham, Patricia and Willie McPhelim, Sarah and Andrew and so many others. Time for me to go to sleep! Only 3 hours sleep last night and a 22 hour day today! I’m officially exhausted! Night night. Ashley.

Wedding fairs, like them or loathe them?
I was at The wedding fair at Inchyra Grange Hotel yesterday (Sunday 20/01/19) and I brought a long a few items to demonstrate including my heart arch, Mr & Mrs letters, Love letters plus a white backdrop and wireless mood lights. The top seller was my amazingly good value £1,000 deal. I even sold my top package the £1,500 Full Monty Deal and several other disco, dance floor, photo booth and magic mirror combinations. Since getting my n...ew flyers printed I’ve added 7 giant letters to the “Special Offer AKA the £1,000 deal” if you bought these items from separately they would cost around £1,850 so at £1,000 it’s an absolute bargain. I also bought two new pop up banners which looked fantastic! It was nice to chat to so many suppliers and brides and grooms on the day and it was a fun event. I put a set of 4ft love letters to hire in the prize draw and luckily for one of my customers they won it and added it to their package that they’d already booked. It’s definitely worth going to wedding fairs as you pick up lots of ideas and every supplier put in a prize to the draw so 20+ people walked away very happy after winning! ... Sorry it's been a week but I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for last Saturday. Everything was just perfect. The floor was amazing, the LED letters amazing, you as DJ and Karaoke master amazing, the mood lighting and the Photo Booth......all just absolutely fantastic. You and the guy who come with you were both super friendly and absolutely lovely! I'm so happy I found you. Even Nikki asked about you and said how great it was. The set up and amount of equipment you supplied was unreal. You worked so hard setting up, providing a great night and then packing away!
I will be in touch again soon with a proper review! This is just a quick one for now so you don't think I have forgotten you or wasn't grateful for you being there!!
