We went there to see James Acaster and he was really good. There was a bit of a queue outside beforehand but once in we had good seats. Plenty of food and drink and tables available

Totally love what they have done with the place (except the bar) I worked the very first Pleasance Fringe in 1985 and felt deeply nostalgic. Love to hear from any other "survivors"

Quite simply one of the best places to be, during the month of August, fantastic atmosphere.

Great shows, good food and you certainly won't go thirsty either.

The Pleasance, the place for pleasure.

Loved this venue. Small enough to make it intimate, big enough to eat, drink and be merry. Black pudding and pork sausages and burgers to die for.

I'd just like to congratulate the staff for their excellent work getting everyone evacuated on Monday 7th August when the fire alarms went off. If there was one criticism, it was lack of direction about where we should go once we exited the courtyard and whether the shows would resume or not. However, it was obvious that a great deal of planning had been put into ensuring a safe and remarkably quick exodus from the area. Just waiting to hear about replacement tickets or a refund, but good job folks!

I would like to congratulate everyone for the quick and calm way we were evacuated when the fire alarm went off. We were lead to a car park and keep informed every step of the way.

The only down side was we didn't see the end of our show ( Tom Alan ).

The rest of our time spent here was first class.

Great venue - went to go see the first hippo on the moon here! Cannot recommend enough Best show at the fringe and a really good venue! Lots of benches to sit at and puppets wandering about! Would recommend to anyone!

Great place, easy to purchase or collect tickets (book in advance if you can). Easy to get from one venue to another within the site. Good bars dotted around and a good happy vibe.

Great atmosphere, good variety of food and bars, and great shows...totally recommend going to see Michael Stranney "Welcome to Ballybeg" - the funniest show yet.....the whole audience in hysterics 🌟🌟🌟🌟

User

Extremely well run venue - not an easy task when there are so many shows in one place! Great booking facilities and knowledgeable staff when dealing with queries. So much to see - that you could spend the entire day there. I'm in awe of the skills of the organisers to keep it all running so smoothly.

Thank-you

Brilliant place with bags of atmosphere! Nowhere else like it . Went to see Tom Lucy and he was excellent, tough crowd last night but for a 21 year old he handled the whole thing fabulously ....... I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of him once the tv stations get a hold of him! Very funny young man, well done Tom.

beautiful wee place, staff were helpful and no queues at bars. great acts, although im put off by lack of air conditioning, rooms were far to hot!

It just the best place to be during the festival ok it's busy but it's a great atmosphere. Get in the courtyard have a drink or food and check your festival guide for the shows. Even a chance of free tickets 😃😃😃

It is a nice place lots of people about to ask questions ie directions etc. The price of drinks are a bit steep. We went to see colin cloud who was just fabulous. However the show was delayed due to IT issues. When we got out we were directed all the way around the entire place. I had my 79 year old father with me who found it very difficult to negotiate stairs and the huge amount of people having to use a very narrow stair case both going up and coming down at the same time. From a health and safety issue is was a nightmare. Would it put me off again, probably would.

Good venue, although a bit confusing for the first time. Drinks a little on the expensive side depending on your taste, but a varied selection.

The show itself (Murder she didn't write @ the Beyond) was excellent.

Went to see Gruffalo's Child with a four year old. A 15 minute queue before doors even opened is not a good idea for a bunch of under 10 year olds. Mummy, I need a wee-wee. Mummy I've done a wee-wee. Etc!!!

Apart from that, well organised and lots of staff who were all very helpful.

We did make a comment to each other when seated in the theatre "wouldn't like to be in here if there's a fire" so something could be done about that. There seemed only to be one exit.

User

We went to see Sara Schafer at That in the courtyard. It was a very disappointing show. We both felt she was very unprepared and basically not funny! However the courtyard was great and facilities were fantastic x

Take care where you stand after it's been raining. You might be in for a nasty surprise! Chips are still reasonable value & lovely & crunchy if you're lucky! Too many brollies. No access to sun if it shines. Beer extorsionate
