The guys in this picture all worked in White Watch at Polmadie in the late 80s / early 90s. They are all now retired from the Service, but remain good friends. They met up today to enjoy an afternoon together, and share lots of good memories. Collectively, they have over 220 years experience in the Service. What a team!

Tonight, the firefighters in Polmadie bid a very fond farewell to our very special friend and colleague, John Martin, on the occasion of his retirement.
John was a huge character in the station and is already greatly missed. He was a dedicated, conscientious professional, with a great sense of humour, who was well respected by all who worked with him.
He was presented with his ceremonial axe and retirement certificate by his friend Area Manager Paul Devlin, with firefighters ...past and present from the station present.
We wish him a long and happy retirement.
