Polygelco is a Cambridge-based technology company with an operating facility in Alsace, France and a global licensing programme.

After many years of research Polygelco has developed a technology that uses recycled materials to make new materials that are actively sought by the users of virgin plastics, particularly in the automotive, construction and packaging sectors. Working with leading Universities and bundling existing technology with a patented technology Polygelco is able to combine scrap plastics and used tyre rubber to manufacture a range of thermoplastic materials that can be used in applications that are currently out of range of materials made out of existing recyclates.

Polygelco can offer manufacturers the opportunity to substitute, to varying degrees, virgin plastic materials with a recycled material that matches the physical and mechanical properties of virgin material. These materials also give a lower processing temperature, thus saving on power consumption and help resolve the growing plastic and rubber scrap problems all at a cost lower than virgin material.
