Can't comment on the rooms or hotel its self as we didn't stay there... but the bar and the restaurant were excellent. Beers were fresh and tasty and the beef medallions were amazing.

Stunning property in the heart of port Charlotte. The restaurant is small bit very pretty, breakfast is good and the rooms are small but well equipped

Was a bit disappointed by the food. One of our group was vegetarian and opted for the balsamic onion because we assumed for £13 it would be more sunstantial than just an onion with a smattering of cold veg on the side. It wasn't. Also the barman got really huffy with us for ordering coffee because of the effort of going to another room to make it. Admittedly he was cheerier later in the night.

Otherwise a really nice bar with good selection of beer and whisky. Appreciated wood burning stove after a 2 mile walk in the rain. Great Sunday night atmosphere with live music.

Nice location and a good selection of beers and whisky in the bar.
Didn't get anything to eat though as the bar menu was a bit too fancy to be honest. Nothing came with the option of chips which i'd have thought was a pub staple.
Anyway, nice enough place but I think it was trying too hard

We had a delicious dinner on a Sunday and listened to live music in the bar. Upon leaving I discovered that my coat (with my rental car keys in the pocket!) had accidentally been picked up by someone (who left their similar coat). We were to leave the next morning on the ferry. The staff was so helpful. Laura gave us a ride back to our lodgings and eventually recovered the coat and keys (although we had had to leave on the ferry by then). The local police put the car on the ferry back to Oban. The Port Charlotte staff couldn't have been nicer and Laura's quick thinking certainly saved me hundreds of pounds in rental car expenses! So --good food, good music and fabulous people!
