Premier Inn Dumfries

Pros: room was large and newly refurbished. Quiet and comfortable.

Cons: both receptionists were far from friendly, positively unfriendly, to the point I'm actually leaving a review about this.
Hotel corridors and paintwork dirty, touching the bannister rail and it was revolting and sticky. No lift.

Do like a Premier Inn but this was not one of their best.

Just returned from lovely 2 night stay . From check in to check out everything and everyone were fantastic. Jane on reception was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her even helping us to get subtitles on television. Being able to take breakfast to our room was fabulous and Heather in restaurant was so helpful. Had a lovely meal in restaurant on Saturday night and again staff were very helpful and attentive. Premier Inn is great value and look forward to visiting Solway Gate very soon. Management please make sure your staff are told of all the good reviews - you have a great team working for you.

Usual fare from premier Inn. Bed comfortable, free WiFi usable. Only 2 coffees in room so that's a bit tight. Room rate was ok , breakfast a bit expensive at £8.99 . Coffee at breakfast from thermos which wasn't very nice. The rest of the breakfast was fine. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming.

Fab hotel for the price. Very big room with lots of great features. Very clean with good service. Great for the price. Couldn't fault it.

Need new beds. They were very noisy when you turn or move in any way. Liked the idea of the fans in rooms. Much better than the dry air of the air con. We have been to many Premier Inn to sleep, but this one is not top of our list.

I hadn't pre-booked a room and wanted a family room but was told none of the family rooms were big enough and so had to book two 'small family' rooms. The room I had would have comfortably fitted another fold away bed. An extra £64 I didn't need to spend.

Very clean and tidy. Great shower. Good value for money.

Room 126 was basic but again felt luxurious. Plenty of sockets for electrical stuff. Get a room overlooking the car park then you don't hear the noise from the A75. Location is good but not if you need to be nearer to town. Service at reception is good and added bonus was being able to check in online. Table Table restaurant attached , excellent food.
