Has anyone else tried painting rocks and hiding them for others to find? We started painting rocks a few weeks ago but have never had much success finding any other than the odd one or two until this weekend. We went to Duffus castle this morning and found 5, and have found another 3 on the Silversands site. It’s great entertainment for the kids to paint them and then go and hide them. Keep your eyes peeled while you are here on holiday - this area seems to be full of them! I’ll be hiding some here myself once I remember to buy varnish for them! Here is one of our finds from this morning!

I have copied some of this from our owners’ group but it is relevant to all our guests to help keep us all safe...
This past week we have had several fires break out on the dunes along the beach, some accidental and some not!
... Thankfully due to assistance from owners, guests, onsite builders and the emergency services, the fires were controlled and no damage or injury caused.
The biggest issue was getting the correct information to the emergency services and site so they could be directed where they are needed
Please keep the following number to hand during this dry spell and should you discover a fire please call 999 and give the location of the fire as Silversands Caravan Park Lossiemouth and then phone Security on 07970 447610 and advise the person that answers that there is a fire and the exact location so they can meet and direct the emergency services
Please all be vigilant and only attempt to tackle any fire if you are confident to do so. Please also be careful with naked flames and also dispose of litter responsibly.

Came to the caravan this evening to do some cleaning for our next guests and may have accidentally ended up at the beach 🙄 wow I could have stayed there all night if I didn’t have work to do!!

***Important message for current and future bookings***
Last week we received notification from Silver Sands that they intend to start charging £10 per adult (over 16) for entertainment passes from 1st June. We are disappointed at the lack of communication and notice that they have given us regarding this matter as this was the first time it’s been mentioned to us. However, we have no control over what management decides and therefore from today, any bookings made will excl...ude entertainment passes – customers will need to purchase passes themselves from Reception on arrival if they wish to use the onsite facilities.
For those who have already booked a holiday with us this year – we value your custom and therefore we intend to pay for your passes ourselves so that you have no unexpected extras to pay. We don’t have the logistics worked out yet as we are still getting details from Silver Sands on how the passes will be issued but it’s likely we will ask you to purchase the passes yourself upon arrival and we will reimburse you asap. We will send details on to each affected customer once we’ve worked out the best way to proceed. For now, we just wanted to clarify where our customers stand in case you have heard the rumours and were concerned about your booking and any additional costs.
We apologise to future customers as this means that staying with us will now cost you more if you intend to use the facilities, but unfortunately the situation is completely out of our hands. We have been hit with many price increases this season ourselves and unfortunately just can’t afford to absorb the cost of the entertainment passes ourselves for future bookings. If you have any questions about this matter please do ask.

We’ve had loads of enquiries this week! If you have specific dates in mind for a break with us, make sure you book soon to avoid disappointment! We use the caravan a lot ourselves too so there are only limited dates available to begin with.
£50 deposit secures your date with the remainder to pay 4 weeks before your stay.
Have a look at this photo - this was a scorcher of a day in the middle of July, can you believe how quiet the beach was? there’s no need to fight over spac...e here, there’s plenty for everyone!

It's not long now until the holiday season is upon us again - I know I'm starting to get excited about those long sunny days on the beach!

This caravan is spotlessly clean and so well kitted out! It’s the little things that make such a difference! It has everything you need and beds are very comfortable!

Mhairi thinks of everything from the wii and plenty other games, to buckets, spades and even tomato sauce!!

Perfect location on site in a nice quite spot with beautiful views of the lighthouse and very short walk to the beach!

Mhairi’s communication is also second to none!

We will definitely be back and would recommend anyone to book you will not be disappointed!

Lovely weekend away at silver sands with the family and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some time away. Caravan number 22 was amazing and so well equipped with everything you need. Loads of games, dvds, books and toys for the kids and a few adult games as well to keep the competitive side of family going. Very clean, modern and comfortable andWill without a doubt be booking again soon and spreading the word.
