Projects Worldwide

Projects Worldwide is a volunteer Charity which supports tangible and measurable grassroots projects in rural Communities across Ghana, Tanzania and Nepal.

Projects Worldwide was founded in 2012 as a registered charity by a small group of committed individuals from around the UK
who saw the potential of the projects that had been organised for volunteers from 2007 onwards by The Really Wild Travel Company.

The founders of Projects Worldwide were keen to harness the energy and enthusiasm of UK volunteers and increase the
amount of fundraising that was spent on project materials. The charity spent a year and a half planning how to make the experience fantastic for volunteers and for host communities before launching in earnest in 2014.

Our goal is simple: to improve the lives of people living in poor communities in the developing world by delivering simple, practical projects that make a world of difference. At the heart of all our projects are teams of committed volunteers from the UK who raise much needed project funding and travel overseas helping to implement their chosen project. We believe that there is a vital role for overseas volunteers and that they can have a hugely positive impact on host communities. We also believe that by raising funds and spending valuable time in developing countries our volunteers enrich their own lives and learn important lessons about how community development works in practice and some of the solutions on offer for alleviating poverty.
