The £6.50 lightbite menu is excellent value for money! There's also a la carte if you prefer - still great value for money.

Average town centre pub/hotel in sore need of some investment. Corridors have a musty smell of stale cooking, and rooms whilst essentially clean, badly need a furniture upgrade. Disappointing thing was complete lack of interest from staff. No-one on Reception when I arrived, and no-one nearby. Someone turned up after a few minutes who just happened to be wandering through. In the morning, no-one on Reception again, no-one in the breakfast room, and considerable difficulty securing the attention of someone who could be heard crashing around in the kitchen. Got the impression that customers were bottom of the list of priorities. Sat down with cereals and tea, and never saw anyone again. No-one came to ask if everything was well. At booking out, guess what? Yes, no-one on Reception or nearby until again someone turned up by chance. Overall rooms average, service atrocious. Stay somewhere else.
