Rachel Bailey Garden Design creates innovative garden designs and unique planting schemes for public and private gardens on the West Coast and in the Central belt of Scotland. Our portfolio covers a variety of gardens that vary in style, scale and setting - from small residential back and front gardens to community gardens and commercial projects. Each garden design and planting scheme is unique and designed to reflect the landscape and the client's needs. Common to all the projects is a strong spatial design full of planting, selected on their appropriateness for the conditions, the setting, the design, and client's desires. Our ethos is to create sustainable designs. So in our work, we aim to source high quality local materials and environmentally-friendly products, include plants beneficial for wildlife, and create sustainable planting schemes. Apart from design consultation, we inspect the project build and happily get my hands in the soil at the time of planting, often working alongside the clients. As the landscapes and gardens we design are for the long term, we remain involved with the aftercare and development of the garden, helping our clients nuture the garden so it nutures them.
