Rapid Development offers high quality paddlesport coaching and guiding courses based in the Scottish Highlands and English Lake District, and is owned and managed by Matt Haydock - paddlesport coach and guide with over 10 years experience paddling across UK and Europe. Matt also holds some of the highest British Canoeing qualifications across the disciplines.

We offer a wide variety of skill development courses in white water kayak, open canoe and sea kayak; catering for all abilities from beginner to advanced. Guided trips exploring Scotland's finest white water rivers, the great open canoe journeys including the Great Glen and Spey Descent trips, and sea kayak expeditions on the world-class west coast of Scotland, including the Small Isles, the Garvellachs and St. Kilda.
Rapid Development also offer a range of British Canoeing award courses across these disciplines, including: star, leadership, coaching and safety award training and assessments.

We are committed to delivering high quality coaching and sharing the best paddlesport experiences and locations with you. Our tried and tested approach means you will be coached, trained or assessed in a relaxed, supportive and individualised way - allowing you to enjoy your time and develop as much as possible. Our highly knowledgeable and experienced guides mean you will not only be looked after, but given the best experience possible on the water.
