Went back now the menu has changed to Pizza & Grill. Had the combo starter between 3 of us it was great! The main meals, mixed grill, scampi and fish also very nice, didn’t try the pizza but seen a few coming out and they looked really nice! Service was friendly and efficient.

Visited the Raven's Cliff at the weekend, and was very impressed. Food was lovely considering the reasonable price.



Must also mention how excellent the staff were, and always are, when we visit with individuals with learning disabilities, that we support.



Also, on Sunday, I mentioned very briefly in passing to the staff member serving us, that I had a bit of a sore throat, and within a minute, he had brought me a glass of hot honey and lemon, without even being asked, which was a lovely touch.



Excellent service, would highly recommend.



Should also say, I highly recommend The Cowboy Burger! Delicious! ÔøΩ

Such a big improvement since the management has changed. The staff appear happier and more helpful, place is clean and tidy and it's a nice relaxing environment. The food is fresh and hot, any special requests were no problem at all, highly recommmed for a nice family meal or a get together with friends

Really loved it and they are dog friendly which is a bonus as we have just got a pup � they even gave her treats and water couldn’t fault service or food thoroughly recommend it

Great place for business stay if on business in Motherwell.

Spacious modern clean rooms with good internet connection and workspace. A restaurant close by that served me a delicious and perfectly cooked sirloin steak.

I also managed to find a 5km trail path around the development area close by.

Did I mention that I won a competition during the week to stay at the new Raven’s Cliff Lodge at the Ravenscraig last night?��

Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and wanting somewhere lovely to stay but at a really reasonable price. The rooms were basic but lovely and very comfortable. Once we settled in we popped over to the Raven’s Cliff for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat, quick service and the pizza’s/calazones were very tasty and our breakfast this morning was delicious (continental and cooked breakfast available and very reasonable) I would like to say a big Thank You to Dan and his team at The Ravens Cliff for making our stay so nice.

Very disorganized last night which was the same on our previous visit. Drinks were forgotten about altogether, food was not as ordered, and items were missing from our plates, staff didn't fully understand their own menu, however the food tasted fine.

The food was good but not great. Looked as if it had been thrown on the plate and the sandwiches were a bit sparse with the ingredients inside. The chips were the plus of the meal id say. Don’t think we’ll be back unfortunately.

Great place to go when sun shines , good was really nice only downfall was one type of lager !!!? Bank holiday guys who is in charge of planning for this ???? Weather was forecast to be good and bank holiday so surely you anticipate for your audience ?? But we will be back

@pugfranko can join us and that’s a plus - food was warm and Ok but despite two waitresses serving our dinner none noticed we didn’t have e cutlery do after waiting and waiting we went to bar and asked for some � manager did ask if we enjoyed our meal but to be honest palmed off our experience as they were busy - really I’d hate to see it busy. Send the reception for new hotel is causing unnecessary staff issues � did get offered compensatory desert but as I told him that’s not why I mentioned issues. Overall experience was ok and will probably go back but let’s see an improvement

Waited 30 minutes to be seated and had to ask the staff to seat a couple in their 80s who had been standing at the door longer than us. They just said some staff had phoned in sick and they were short staffed. There didn't seem to be any urgency from the staff or maybe they were as fed up as they looked. Not sure why you ask for a review because you don't appear to take on board any of the previous complaints?

Friend ordered ribeye steak only for waitress to come back and said there was none also one of our party asked for brown sauce bottle was empty and there was no more in restaurant then to top it off ordered sticky toffee pudding and guess there was none.

Due to living within walking distance, I have visited numerous times over the years. It was always a great place for food and catch up with friends. In the past few weeks/months however standards have slipped considerably low! Being there last night & every vacant table was full of dirty dishes and glasses. One member of staff in particular is extremely rude the past few times I have been in. I Enjoy a vino in the beer garden, but again, every table piled high with dirty plates and glasses so end up having to clear them myself in order to sit down.

Unless the standards start to improve I may be looking for a new local... !

Dreadful service. Really untidy tables which took a long time to be cleared. The waiting staff turned customers away rather than clear the tables to seat them. Had to constantly remind staff to bring drinks, cutlery, the correct courses and sauces. Another customer brought my kid ketchup rather than see her wait 10 mins for it. The only thing they brought quickly was the bill. Rowdy customers swearing on the front patio at 6pm on a Sunday evening was the cherry on the cake. I know this wasn’t the fault of the staff but they have the ability to ask customers to keep it down or refuse service.

Was there yesterday for lunch. Was absolutely horrendous. My friend ordered the ham, fried eggs and chips, we were told they couldn’t do fried eggs as frier was broken, what appeared was horrible, microwaved cold scrambled eggs dumped on cheap processed ham and soggy cold chips. I ordered chicken nuggets and paid extra to have them “ Epic style” What I got was 3 chicken nuggets welded onto plate with brick hard cheese and the aforementioned chips. I asked waitress to take it back and remind chef I had paid for Epic. Half an hour later it was presented again but with another 2 nuggets. “ the chef says that was Epic but he gave you another 2 free! By this point we were looking for hidden cameras as we thought it had to be a wind up! My friend left the entire meal untouched, nobody asked how it was or cleared the plates away.

What is the point of management apologising constantly to these reviews if nothing is done? Before we left my friend told waitress that the meal was awful. She said sorry. No wonder the place was empty.

Stood at bar for 20minutes while 5 different staff pottered about ignoring the fact myself and four other people were desperate to be served, when I finally got served for desert it took 30minutes and a polite reminder to get a

Semi warm chocolate fudge cake, I’m shocked at how much of a kick up the backside that team needs

Really poor service, ignored at the door even though we had a reservation, given a free drink as apology, then the meal happened! Menu said ribs with chips, onion rings and coleslaw, arrived with no onion rings or coleslaw and drowned in watered down BBQ sauce. Were told to go and tell them when we were ready for our mains (surely they should be able to manage when to serve). Went to the bar to pay and had to shout round as all the staff were in the back having a carry on. Tables all around were full of dirty dishes, ours where only cleared when out next course arrived and they seated us at a dirty table, took the empty glasses away after we sat down but never cleaned the table despite saying she would clean it. Went elsewhere for dessert. Do not recommend.

Once again thought we will give ravens cliff another go since it's a new menu and it's been refurbed. Get in and are seated after a few minutes wait, order drinks and wait on a waitress serving us. As we are ordering we ask for a mixed grill only to be told that it's unavailable because it was a busy day ( the place was empty !! ).



This was the 5th time in a row that the mixed grill hasn't been available !! Very disappointed as it's now priding itself on being a grill house.



Won't be back and also wouldn't recommend ravenscliff to any friends or family. Shambles of a place the management should be ashamed.

Booked here for last night and specifically booked it because they have the little kids area to keep my 1 year old daughter amused! When we phoned to book our party of 13 people we asked to be seated at the kids area and was not told that this would be an issue! On arrival we were seated as far away from the kids area as possible, when I questioned this I was told they never guarantee tables..... we were not told this on the phone and if we had been we would not have booked as the whole reason I booked it was because of the kids area! 13 of us actually got taxis over too! Now what I really couldn’t understand is this- there were several empty tables in this area and for whatever reason they just wouldn’t move us ! The manager was really quite rude and it was as if he really just couldn’t be bothered to accommodate us! I even spoke to another member of staff (who I won’t name as I don’t want to get them in bother ) who said he didn’t understand why we couldn’t be moved as there was plenty of space and tables!! My daughter was up and down like a yo yo running round to the play area with one of us having to chase after her someone knocked her over there was staff with food and drinks so what we couldn’t understand is why wouldn’t the staff use their brains and re seat us as surely a one year old running up and down is just an obstruction to them? After several attempts to speak to the manager and actually point out the empty tables to be told no, we just finished up our first round of drinks and went home! The customer service was dreadful! We went home and phoned a big bunch of

Pizzas! What other establishment would rather loose custom o we just moving us to another area of the restaurant??? We have taken pictures of the empty tables that we could have been seated at where we could have watched my daughter playing , and all of us will be making a complaint!

Did I mention that I won a competition during the week to stay at the new Raven’s Cliff Lodge at the Ravenscraig last night?��

Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and wanting somewhere lovely to stay but at a really reasonable price. The rooms were basic but lovely and very comfortable. Once we settled in we popped over to the Raven’s Cliff for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat, quick service and the pizza’s/calazones were very tasty and our breakfast this morning was delicious (continental and cooked breakfast available and very reasonable) I would like to say a big Thank You to Dan and his team at The Ravens Cliff for making our stay so nice.

Very disorganized last night which was the same on our previous visit. Drinks were forgotten about altogether, food was not as ordered, and items were missing from our plates, staff didn't fully understand their own menu, however the food tasted fine.

The food was good but not great. Looked as if it had been thrown on the plate and the sandwiches were a bit sparse with the ingredients inside. The chips were the plus of the meal id say. Don’t think we’ll be back unfortunately.

Great place to go when sun shines , good was really nice only downfall was one type of lager !!!? Bank holiday guys who is in charge of planning for this ???? Weather was forecast to be good and bank holiday so surely you anticipate for your audience ?? But we will be back

@pugfranko can join us and that’s a plus - food was warm and Ok but despite two waitresses serving our dinner none noticed we didn’t have e cutlery do after waiting and waiting we went to bar and asked for some � manager did ask if we enjoyed our meal but to be honest palmed off our experience as they were busy - really I’d hate to see it busy. Send the reception for new hotel is causing unnecessary staff issues � did get offered compensatory desert but as I told him that’s not why I mentioned issues. Overall experience was ok and will probably go back but let’s see an improvement

Waited 30 minutes to be seated and had to ask the staff to seat a couple in their 80s who had been standing at the door longer than us. They just said some staff had phoned in sick and they were short staffed. There didn't seem to be any urgency from the staff or maybe they were as fed up as they looked. Not sure why you ask for a review because you don't appear to take on board any of the previous complaints?

First time there and wasn’t impressed

Friend ordered ribeye steak only for waitress to come back and said there was none also one of our party asked for brown sauce bottle was empty and there was no more in restaurant then to top it off ordered sticky toffee pudding and guess there was none.

Good point staff was lovely

Due to living within walking distance, I have visited numerous times over the years. It was always a great place for food and catch up with friends. In the past few weeks/months however standards have slipped considerably low! Being there last night & every vacant table was full of dirty dishes and glasses. One member of staff in particular is extremely rude the past few times I have been in. I Enjoy a vino in the beer garden, but again, every table piled high with dirty plates and glasses so end up having to clear them myself in order to sit down.

Unless the standards start to improve I may be looking for a new local... !

Dreadful service. Really untidy tables which took a long time to be cleared. The waiting staff turned customers away rather than clear the tables to seat them. Had to constantly remind staff to bring drinks, cutlery, the correct courses and sauces. Another customer brought my kid ketchup rather than see her wait 10 mins for it. The only thing they brought quickly was the bill. Rowdy customers swearing on the front patio at 6pm on a Sunday evening was the cherry on the cake. I know this wasn’t the fault of the staff but they have the ability to ask customers to keep it down or refuse service.

Was there yesterday for lunch. Was absolutely horrendous. My friend ordered the ham, fried eggs and chips, we were told they couldn’t do fried eggs as frier was broken, what appeared was horrible, microwaved cold scrambled eggs dumped on cheap processed ham and soggy cold chips. I ordered chicken nuggets and paid extra to have them “ Epic style” What I got was 3 chicken nuggets welded onto plate with brick hard cheese and the aforementioned chips. I asked waitress to take it back and remind chef I had paid for Epic. Half an hour later it was presented again but with another 2 nuggets. “ the chef says that was Epic but he gave you another 2 free! By this point we were looking for hidden cameras as we thought it had to be a wind up! My friend left the entire meal untouched, nobody asked how it was or cleared the plates away.

What is the point of management apologising constantly to these reviews if nothing is done? Before we left my friend told waitress that the meal was awful. She said sorry. No wonder the place was empty.

Stood at bar for 20minutes while 5 different staff pottered about ignoring the fact myself and four other people were desperate to be served, when I finally got served for desert it took 30minutes and a polite reminder to get a

Semi warm chocolate fudge cake, I’m shocked at how much of a kick up the backside that team needs

Really poor service, ignored at the door even though we had a reservation, given a free drink as apology, then the meal happened! Menu said ribs with chips, onion rings and coleslaw, arrived with no onion rings or coleslaw and drowned in watered down BBQ sauce. Were told to go and tell them when we were ready for our mains (surely they should be able to manage when to serve). Went to the bar to pay and had to shout round as all the staff were in the back having a carry on. Tables all around were full of dirty dishes, ours where only cleared when out next course arrived and they seated us at a dirty table, took the empty glasses away after we sat down but never cleaned the table despite saying she would clean it. Went elsewhere for dessert. Do not recommend.

Once again thought we will give ravens cliff another go since it's a new menu and it's been refurbed. Get in and are seated after a few minutes wait, order drinks and wait on a waitress serving us. As we are ordering we ask for a mixed grill only to be told that it's unavailable because it was a busy day ( the place was empty !! ).



This was the 5th time in a row that the mixed grill hasn't been available !! Very disappointed as it's now priding itself on being a grill house.



Won't be back and also wouldn't recommend ravenscliff to any friends or family. Shambles of a place the management should be ashamed.

Booked here for last night and specifically booked it because they have the little kids area to keep my 1 year old daughter amused! When we phoned to book our party of 13 people we asked to be seated at the kids area and was not told that this would be an issue! On arrival we were seated as far away from the kids area as possible, when I questioned this I was told they never guarantee tables..... we were not told this on the phone and if we had been we would not have booked as the whole reason I booked it was because of the kids area! 13 of us actually got taxis over too! Now what I really couldn’t understand is this- there were several empty tables in this area and for whatever reason they just wouldn’t move us ! The manager was really quite rude and it was as if he really just couldn’t be bothered to accommodate us! I even spoke to another member of staff (who I won’t name as I don’t want to get them in bother ) who said he didn’t understand why we couldn’t be moved as there was plenty of space and tables!! My daughter was up and down like a yo yo running round to the play area with one of us having to chase after her someone knocked her over there was staff with food and drinks so what we couldn’t understand is why wouldn’t the staff use their brains and re seat us as surely a one year old running up and down is just an obstruction to them? After several attempts to speak to the manager and actually point out the empty tables to be told no, we just finished up our first round of drinks and went home! The customer service was dreadful! We went home and phoned a big bunch of

Pizzas! What other establishment would rather loose custom o we just moving us to another area of the restaurant??? We have taken pictures of the empty tables that we could have been seated at where we could have watched my daughter playing , and all of us will be making a complaint!
