About Readerpro

Open source e-readers, custom-designed for academics and professionals. Start-up based in Glasgow, UK. 1) ===Why we do what we do===We are students with too many textbooks and notes to carry, and dislike reading from LCD screens on computers and tablets. One day, we decided to build the solution to our own problems. We believe in free education, and sharing of knowledge. We value sustainability, local manufacture, co-creation, and user centric design. We are part of the Open Source Hardware movement, which means our research and designs are in the public domain, and can be shared and modified by anyone. 2) ===How we do what we do===We innovate in an open arena. By making our designs open, free to share, modify and critique, we harness the collaborative power of the internet to connect with users like no one else can, making sure the end result is for the people, by the people. 3) ===What we do===We design and sell high quality e-readers in small batches to exactly meet niche user needs. Our products are designed not just by us, but by communities of creative users. Are you an academic or professional? You can help shape the device of the future.
