Hi. Welcome to Reconditionally Yours. My name is Jeanette and I love to turn old and unloved furniture into fabulous up to date pieces.
My obsession started when I needed a sideboard for my hall to house all my dogs' many accessories. I fancied something a bit rustic and unusual.
All the ones I saw in the shops all looked very similar, were not particularly well made and were a tad expensive.
I started looking round the charity shops and I found the perfect sideboard. It was American tan colour with tatty handles but I loved the shape, it was beautifully made and I knew there wouldn't be a hundred more like it.
I sanded it down, distressed and waxed it then added some gorgeous new handles and was delighted with the result. My hall looks a lot better too now you're not falling over doggy stuff.
Once I had completed my sideboard I was hooked. There was no turning back.
I sold all my boring furniture and replaced it with beautifully made, interesting pieces all restored by my good self.
Hopefully you will like the things I have done and would maybe even like to purchase one of them.
My house is now full up so I have to start and sell my creations before the floor gives way.
