Had a great day gardening and cooking with the lovely green fingered peeps of The Concrete Garden and our pals from BBC Radio Scotland's #Letsgrowitcookiteatit, it really is an amazing community space for growing food in the heart of sunny Possilpark using reclaimed industrial land with a community kitchen and swap shop.. thanks for the inspiration and fruits of our labour can be checked out on Thursday 16th BBC Radio Scot from 1.30pm... oh the red onions were delicious

Not too much to look at from the outside, but wow ... what some fantastic food and great service

We were there for my daughters 30th, large group 9 adults and 4 children . Food was excellent staff were attentive even though there were a few large parties on at the same time. Slight issue with bill but this was rectified right away. Several members of our group have allergies which were catered for. Will be back

We went for the pre-theatre meal. Enough choice. Delicious meal and my sister who is coeliac thoroughly enjoyed hers and actually finished it. The girl who seen to our drinks and meal was a delight. Will certainly be back. Thank you.

We purchased an Itison voucher to experience the Red Onion's 5 course taster menu and it has to probably be the best thing that I have ever gotten through itison!!

The food was absolutely fantastic and the place itself was lovely. The staff were really friendly too. I think that the Red Onion now has itself a new set of regulars ....... hope to see you again soon!! :)

This was amazing food and the price was reasonable. Food was so good that I donŌĆÖt eat salads but the bang bang chicken salad with crispy noodle and spicy peanut sauce was delicious and I totally cleared the plate and would order it again in a heartbeat.

The duck was so succulent and tender and oozed flavour.



Will be back many more times.

My husband and I visited Red Onion for the first time last night. We chose off the vegan pre-theatre menu and it did not disappoint in quality of food or flavour. I had the tempura vegetables and my husband had the haggis bon bons to start and then the ratatouille tart and risotto as a main ... all dishes were delicious even the side order of garlic mushrooms were amazing. This will not be our last visit to Red Onion 5*

My friend and I had a six course taster menu with wine flight, which I won in an itison competition. The food was delicious, staff couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly and the setting is lovely and there is a menu available for everybody, there are gluten-free, Vegan and I'm sure there was a lactose free menu as well. The owner came to our table and spoke to us to ensure we were enjoying our lunch and everything was ok, before dashing off to cook at the STV studios. would highly recommend Red Onion wether it be lunch, pre-theatre or dinner, you will get a warm welcome

I went because they had a vegan choice. It was really good. My hubby and son eat meat so it was perfect for meat and non meat eaters. Food was amazing, staff friendly and a really nice clean place.

I have only nice things to say about this restaurant. We all ate delicious food, served by friendly and attentive staff. One of our party is vegan, and she said she was really impressed at the choice she had on the separate vegan menu. The decor is modern but with some original features retained, and very comfortable. A really excellent place!

I had the bang bang chicken starter followed by the lemon chicken in Korma sauce. Both were delicious. My husband had the pate starter followed by the pulled pork, again both were delicious. It was very atmospheric and the staff were attentive and polite. Would definitely go again.

Really enjoyed our meal - but would have liked more than 2 scallops for starters as they were very small. The service was really good considering the restaurant was very busy and only 2 members of staff to serve but they coped very well.
