Well on June 15th we are back on the Blues trail with a man born and bred in Chicago The Jim Kahr Band who is supported by a local band The Emma Wilson Band. Jim has had a tremendous carreer and has played alongside many of the greats as the poster depicts.

As you will probably know the next gig we are hosting is not technically a blues club promotion. We are doing this to help raise funds for "The Friends of Redcar Cemetery" so to this end there is no price reduction for members all tickets will be priced at £12. So on May 11th we bring you a renowned tribute act 10CCLLO The Greatest hits of 10cc and ELO. Remember these? Dreadlock Holiday, Mr Blue Sky, I’m Mandy Fly me, Livin’ Thing, Evil Woman, The Things We Do for Love, Wi...ld West Hero, Life is a Minestrone, Art for Art’s Sake, Turn To Stone, I’m not in Love, Roll Over Beethoven, Rubber Bullets… Just a few among the many massive hits that make up the timeless repertoire of 10CC and The Electric Light Orchestra.
Their songs are worldwide rock classics and FM radio staples, that over the passing decades have remained in the hearts of millions of fans… and in the hearts of the musicians that make up the only European tribute to these 2 incredible bands from the last 4 decades.
We don’t dress up or put on wigs to look like the original artists, we do however bring the musical quality of both bands to life with hit after hit, fantastic video visuals and a good bit of banter thrown in for good measure. You are a guaranteed a great night to remember! http://10cclo.uk/

Redcar Rhythm and Blues Club have very generously donated the fantastic sum of £215.00 to the children's ward at James Cook. This goes directly for the children, and it will be used to buy diversion toys to keep the kids minds occupied when they are having injections and other unpleasant things done to them. A very nervous Beth receiving the donation from tonight's headline act Cherry Lee Mewis. Thanks to everyone involved with making it happen 👍👍

Out next gig on 20th April see's the return of 2 act's that we presented before. Headlining will be The Cherry Lee Mewis Band they will be supported by Stoney Broke. Cherry not only tours with her own band but is in demand providing vocals for the likes of Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake) Del Bromham (Stray) and top tribute act Think Flloyd. Stoney Broke is a young guy Jake Scott from Dumfries who plays mostly original material and is no stranger to the North East

What a great night last night at Redcar Blues Club with 2 relatively local bands full of talented musicians. OK not strictly blues but all based on the blues. Thank you to both bands, Soundman John and the punters. Really nice to see some new faces. Hope you all return
