Reflections Detailing And Valeting

After previously having his stunning M4 ceramic coated elsewhere and not being happy, Stephen came to me. The car was originally booked in for a full correction and coat of ceramic, but circumstances changed and the time frame of this didn't suit anymore, so instead it was given an enhancement polish and given 3 coats of ceramic and one coat of gliss. The ceramic alone had the paint popping, but the gliss just took things to a whole new level.
It had me working until midnight, but it was worth it.

After 3 days off, it was back in today to more of the same, ceramic coatings and maintenance work all round. Nice early finish though for an appointment.
This is one of the most exciting weeks I've had at work since starting up 7 years ago. 3 game changing additions coming.

Look familiar? Same make same model, same colour, same family, same work carried out.
Mr Manekshaw had has brand new Rav 4 coated by me a couple of weeks ago, this time it was the turn of Mrs Manekshaw.
The car came to me with transport film still on, which perhaps takes away from the new car experience when collecting it from the dealership, but it almost guarantees saving several hundred pounds when it comes to me.... So it was unwrapped, decontaminated, 2 coats of ceramic and gliss on the bodywork, ceramic on the wheels, glass coated and Interior stain guard applied.

I got called arrogant last week, when I wouldn't book a car in for a wash😯 The car was 9 years old and had never been decontaminated🤯
I tried to explain to the owner that the car would need to be decontaminated, if coming to me. The reply was "70 f*****g quid to wash my car? Na you're ok thanks" my reply was well its FROM £70, yours is likely to be closer to £100, which didn't go down too well.
... It's got nothing to do with arrogance, greed, laziness, or whatever. It always has been and always will be about what's best for your car and my business image.
There is no point at all in spending money on a wash, when the car is leaving caked in black and orange spots and feeling rough.
A decontamination will safely remove all contaminants, I.e tar and iron spots and give me a clean flat base to wash and seal.
This is generally only needed twice a year.
Here are some pics from a car from yesterday and from today, showing what the chemicals in a decontamination remove with ease. Neither of these cars (one of which had heavy over spray too) would have benefited from a wash and for that reason I wouldn't have done a wash.

This is how a brand new car should be delivered to me😁 Untouched by the dealership.
The only slight risk with this is, if there is any damage you have little to no comeback from the dealership, but I'd rather take that small risk, than the guaranteed damage caused by them scraping the wrap off and washing it.

The latest car leaving Reflections coated in ceramic, was this Absolute beast of an M4, in one of BMW's stunning individual colours.
The car was simply given a decontamination and then given one coat of ceramic.
Customers reaction "omg, how is it so shiny" That's just what ceramic does🤩

My head has been bursting for the past few months about what to do with my shop.
I’ve got this big area and one supplier known globally on board, who’s products sell very well in my shop, I also have another waiting for me to make my mind up and will allow me to sell their products, so why am I not fully stocking the shop and going for it? Time, basically. I work on my own and already do the job of 3 people in all aspects of the business. Stopping detailing a car a few time...s a day to deal with retail customers just doesn’t work.
I’m close now though to just taking the plunge and going all in with the shop, including an internet shop. If I do it, I’ll do it big!!

Different. Full decontamination and ceramic coated front end.

This is an absolute disgrace for me, but my car hasn't had a contact wash for around 3-4 weeks!😟 With the dirt in the air recently it was quite dull and rough.
I managed to find 20 minutes at the end of my day today, so thought I'd use the last of my energy and see what I could do.....
17 minutes to get it washed, chemical decontamination and dried. I cant even wash my hair in that time 🤔😂
... Average time for a full decontamination on an average car is around 2 hours.

Like mysel, Ewan has ridiculously high standards, so its always good see see his reaction when collecting his car😁
