Abuse may be physical, sexual, emotional. financial, or all of these.

The motivating ethos is summed up as;
“Abuse may be physical, sexual, financial, or all of these. You do not have to suffer in silence. You do not have to put up with it. No one does. Renfrewshire Women’s Aid understands the importance of being listened to, being believed and not being judged. We also understand that that it is crucial that you know that there is a way out of abuse and that you do have choices. Your safety is our safety”
The ultimate aim is to encourage women’s self-determination, and the organisation believes that in working towards equal opportunities and social justice, all forms of violence and abuse towards women, children & young people must be opposed. Working within a collective structure conforms to this ethos of equality, of striving to improve the quality of life for all who benefit from our services, and to change society’s attitude towards domestic abuse.
