Rescobie Loch Development Association (RDLA) was formed in the early 60's to provide the area with good affordable loch fishing.
The various committee members put in countless hours of hard work over the years to form a first class fishery.
Perch and pike were removed, a pier and a boathouse were built and the loch was heavily stocked with rainbow and brown trout.
Work is still carried on by the present committee to ensure that the fishery maintains its reputation for quality hard fighting fish in excellent condition.
Rescobie Loch is a relatively shallow water of 200 acres which provides rich feeding throughout the year resulting in some really fine over wintered specimens.
The fishing is run from the boathouse, which is adjacent to the B9113 Forfar to Montrose road.

Tickets are sold on the understanding that anglers are familiar with and will abide by the rules of the loch.
Rescobie Loch is a Protected Fishery operated by Rescobie Loch Development Association.
