About Rgu Student Life

Robert Gordon University’s Student Life services are here to help you make the most out of your experience as a student. Student Life includes: the Careers & Employability Centre, Disability & Dyslexia Centre, Counselling & wellbeing, RGU Sport, Student HelpPoint and ResLife.

The student help point is a first point of call for all our students’ non-academic queries such as accommodation, tuition fees and emergency loans. This is situated in the Health & Social Care Building on the third floor.

The RGU Careers and Employability Centre provides a professionally recognised careers service to undergraduates, postgraduates and recent alumni of Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. This service supports all RGU students by assisting them to make an informed decision about their potential career path.

The Disability and Dyslexia Centre has many years’ experience supporting students with dyslexia, sensory and mobility impairments, mental health difficulties, mental conditions, autism spectrum disorders and temporary impairments, such as broken limbs.

The Counselling and Wellbeing Centre has professional and qualified Student Wellbeing Advisors and student counsellors who offer a free service for all students across RGU who may be facing challenges or need someone to talk to about issues which may be concerning them.

RGU Sport offers a wide range of world class sporting equipment for students, staff and the wider community. The facilities include a swimming pool, climbing wall, three gyms and an array of exercise classes for all fitness levels.

ResLife aims to support students’ during their time in student accommodation, with Residence Assistants providing out-of-hours care and a community team helping residents to integrate socially and help students’ to get the most out of their university experience.
