Cormonachan Woodlands, near to Carrick Castle, has always seemed magical to us. A tranquil place to escape for a woodland dog walk and to look out for beautiful red squirrels.
So it's great to see The Walking Theatre Company are now bringing their own magic to these woodlands - with two theatre performances to suit all the family later this month. <3
This has been the most amazing week. Bill & Martine have helped in every way to make this a completely memorable trip. The house is very special and the history seeps out of every wall, beautiful to look at, and a joy to stay in. The locals are very friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to say hello, even helping out when in a tricky spot. We'll definitely return. This week has been a particularly special one for my family, some travelling from afar to be here for our special event, and from now on this place will always have a place in our hearts. (And the weathers been spectacular!)

What an amazing holiday we have had in Scotland (a first time for some of our party). A big thank you to Bill and Martine at Rhumhor Holiday Lodge for providing the most beautiful accommodation which had everything we needed at our fingertips. We had so many days out, every evening returning to Rhumhor for quiet time, family meals, more family games and pool tournaments, but most importantly back to a comfy bed! So much beautiful scenery by the house and surrounding areas. Lots of memories were made which will last a lifetime! Also, thank you for putting us in touch with Keith at Paddlepower and Adventure who provided us with the most amazing day canoeing on Loch Goil and for the gorge walking experience in the river Lettermay. We also had great days out climbing the Nevis Range and shopping in Fort William, Highland, found out about harsh punishments in Inveraray Jail, a walk up the road to Carrick Castle, visited Loch Lomond Shores, adventures in the trees at TreeZone Loch Lomond, river cruises and speed boat rides at Sweeney's Cruise Co. Loch Lomond, looking at fish in Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Centre, an educational experience at Cruachan - The Hollow Mountain, a picnic lunch and beautiful walk at Ardkinglas Woodland Garden and lovely views at the Falls of Falloch. So much to see and do we will definitely be coming back!
