About Richard Fox Photography

I used to take photographs of wildlife with my old Pentax 35mm. A long break from photography and a few grey hairs later I have re-acquired my passion, enhanced by living on the very edge of the Trossachs, particularly for landscapes and nature.

Richard Fox Photography Description

I've really gotten the photography bug over the last few years. I bought myself a Micro Four Thirds camera (Lumix G3) and that fed my appetite. After being frustrated with the noise performance and lack of controls and image quality I bit the bullet and invested in a Prosumer DSLR, a Canon 5D II and I have acquired now some very nice lenses. This gave me the tools to better learn the art of photography and with help of fellow photographers I have gained more experience and understanding. I have just recently bought a new body, a Canon 6D, which suit me better being lighter and easier to fit in my bike bag. It's a bit more economical on battery and has noticeably better tonal range, DR, sharpness, noise control and ISO sensitivity.
