Rising Phoenix Bjj

Its been a good year for Rising Phoenix BJJ.
All the main coaches levelled up and got promoted as well as a few others from the club in both the womens classes and the mixed classes but what has really stood out this year is the amazing results we have had from the kids program.
We have grown to the point where we are currently creating an overspill room for the kids to train in comfortably as we start to regularly have classes with almost 40 kids on the mat.
... The standard this year has grown so fast as well. Alot of these kids are definitely going to be black belts in the future and have great success competing. However, its the overall team effort and growth of all the kids that has been really impressive. This is something we will continue to invest our time in going forward.
Competition wise its been a pool of 9 kids who have been hitting the 5 big competitions and this year we got :-
2 x Gi Junior World Champions 1 x NoGi Junior World Champion 3 x British Champions 3 x Junior National Champions 4 x UKBJJA Internation Open Champions
13 x Silver medals 8 x Bronze medals
This doesnt include all the other competitions the kids have been going to with the competition team growing to around 15 kids on the smaller comps and all doing so well.
They say the youth is the future, we all better watch our backs(and our necks) if this is a sign of things to come.
Obviously none of this would be possible without the support network of coaches and parents at the club. It really is a privilege to have all the coaches give up their time to believe in the kids program and pass on their knowledge to the kids at the club. I can't thank them all enough.
I have a feeling 2019 is going to bring even bigger things for the kids at Rising Phoenix.

Last official session of 2018 in the bag. 12 coloured belts(16 if you include the young team), 7 whites and a mixture of the women's class and mixed class all rolling together. Was a great, sweaty session. Thanks to everyone who made it along.

⭐⭐⭐Final kids class of 2018⭐⭐⭐
Well done to all the kids this year, long standing members and new ones too. All their hard work has paid off as they were all excited to show off and impress our Professor Rick Young everything they have learned lately, as part of their grading last Saturday.
Thanks to Dave King for supplying the awards every month and the bigger one for the end of the year, for the kids, they love receiving them!
