Wonderful experience touring Glasgow on a vintages bus, the sandpit outside the museum was well used and the surrounding grass area provided a lovely setting for a picnic. The only down side was the extortionate price to park - previously it was a £1 for 1 -2 hours now the new tariff starts at £3.20, disgusting 👎

User

Was fabulous, our 3 and 5 year old girls had great fun, shame we ran out of time before getting a good look around the tall ship outside. Would definitely recommend the Riverside Museum to anyone.

User

Very impressive. Everything so well set out and the descriptive cards for each exhibit clear and informative. Visiting from London and enjoyed investigating the fascinating history of Glasgow, also its engineering and ship building industries. What an achievement is the rescue and restoration of the magnificent Tall Ship Glenlee.

User

This museum is excellent for all ages. A real bonus it is free. Staff very friendly and all the items in the museum are very well displayed/preserved! Highly recommend 😀 Also I love the little replica 1915 style town you can walk through and explore.

User

Loved the museum and so did the kids first time we've been since it moved. We also visited the Tall Ship great experience. The restaurant facilities were great toilets were spotless. Slightly over spent in the gift shop but so much to choose from. Only negative I can think of was car parking was way over priced.

User

Love this place , great place to visit , I just wish some of the cars were on the ground and not on the wall to let kids see what some of the interiors looked like back then

User

Lots to see from all eras .. took he back in places .. great place to visit .. including the tall ship .. lovely restaurant with great food .. entry is free .. will visit again

User

It was a delight to step into the past and see the various forms of transport. Was particularly beneficial to the cace group as it brought a lot of memories back to the men!

👍🏻

User

Great place to visit while in Glasgow a definite must do for families, having said that we were a couple and found it all very interesting and informative. Well set out plenty to see.

User

First time I’ve been in years. Excellent day out for kids and adults alike! Especially impressed with the tall ship as it was jam packed with stuff for the kids to do! Lots of fun was had and I’m amazed that it was free!!!

User

Brilliant time spent here and can't believe it's free ... you can donate in the various boxes so much to see and so interesting learning things I didn't know. Strongly recommend a visit

User

Brilliant museum and the kids loved it the displays were beautiful and plenty for the kids to see and even got on some of the trams and busses. Would highly recommend it to be a place to visit

User

Amazing diversity of transport through the years from turn of the 20th century charabangs to mid century trams to motorcycles and lots more. As a mid century woman, I found it fascinating and entrancing. Wheelchair friendly. Staff lovely. Just a really nice atmosphere with people of all ages enjoying themselves. Thoroughly recommend.

User

Absolutely loved the museum .. the kids had a great time and there’s loads for the to do !! I love how u can go on the different transportation and they kids loved to pretend to be the passengers on the busses 💕💕 we always make regular trips to the museum as the kids love it so much x

User

What a fabulous venue for free!

First time visiting with my son . So much to see and a greatwalk down memory lane Warm welcome at the entrance and lovely helpful assistants throughout. My only negative too many playgroups/summer holiday clubs and the children too young to appreciate and the helpers not much enthused either. Interactive points & explanations given on trams do interesting. I would recommend to everyone.

User

My son loves this place and we always have a great time- but what a shock we had when we went to park. From £1 for 4hrs to £1.6 per hr, so much for free museums

User

I love this place kids love it too very clean safe environment for the kids. Disappointed that u can’t get in some of the trams etc. But everything was immaculate. Fun day out defo

User

Can’t fault the museum one bit, great place to take the kids and I’m like a big kid myself when I go. One problem is the price increase to park your car, totally shocked to find it now costs £4.80 for 3hrs!!! It used to be like a quid 🤷‍♂️ Yes the museum is free but I do give a donation and I always spend money in the gift shops and restaurant etc etc so that more than makes up for that 👍🏻

User

Been coming here for years with my kids, turned up today to see a massive increase in your car parking charges. To go from £1 for 4 hours to £1.60 AN HOUR is absolutely shocking. Families from all over the place come here and spend hours between the museum itself, the tall ship and the outdoor space. This has put me off for sure and the amount of people who said the same when I came today I won’t be surprised how many visitors you will lose.
