Roadblock Run

About Roadblock Run

RoadBlock Run is a fun, friendly 7km run with an obstacle twist which takes place in Edinburgh on 9th September 2018.

Roadblock Run Description

RoadBlock Run - Life's full of obstacles. . . overcome them!

The Road Block Run is about scrambling over obstacles and having fun but by taking part in the run you are helping others overcome their own obstacles, from the loss of a loved one to learning to speak again following a stroke. Every day the people we support are fighting their own battles with chest, heart and stroke illness and your fundraising ensures we can be there via our Adviceline, community groups and befriending service. Often these illness can strike with no warning, affecting the individuals and their families.

To enable us to continue this work we ask each participant to register by paying advanced sponsorship of £16 and then raising an additional £40 in sponsorship for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. Support will be provided to help you raise sponsorship from your friends, family and colleagues and we encourage people to aim to raise as much as they can.

The RoadBlock Run is the latest incarnation of a running series that orginally started out in 2009. 2016 sees the tenth run in the series and so far the fun runs have helped raise over £300, 000 for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this target and we look forward to exceeding this in year on year!
