Visited the church and Rob Roy MacGregors grave. Some say he was a thief and a "gangster" while some say he was a Robin Hood type.
Either way he is important historically and this is worth the time for a visit.

Who could complain

The history alone is well worth the trip.. the views are beyond words, the area, people are amazing

Overall historical value isn't really broadcast however if you do some research & find the place. Roads are typical Scottish roads "great well looked after" if you venture along the loch it's single track with pass places almost every 100 yards

We were visiting Scotland from England and wanted to see the resting place of one Scotland heros. Very peaceful. I am English and it gave me a tingle I am sure the locals would feel a lot more.

Been there with my son, a couple of years ago. As in the whole of Scotland, it is like riding through history. And it rained cats and dogs when we were there.... One becomes part of their history, and I had the same feeling of deep respect for their courage as I had when I stood on the beaches of Normandy, one year later. Brave men, in a truly beautiful country..

Stopped here on my travels, such a peaceful place, paid my respects to Rob Roy and family buried here, and looked around the old church ruins and graves as well, just down the road is a great photo opportunity as well, the bridge that crosses the river, nice reflections and very surreal. All up a beautiful place and filled with history.
