At approx 8.20am this morning we were sent to landford with our colleagues from over the Hampshire border from Salisbury to a roof fire,
Upon arrival we were presented with heavy smoke coming from the roof & a further 2x engines & our Arieal Ladder Platform from St Mary's & water carrier from Hampshire, Romsey & Salisbury crews went into extinguish the fire,
... Successful stop to what was a different situation when we arrived!
Good team work from us & our neighbours! 💪

On Saturday we went along to Braisfield Social Club to help raise funds for Team Ellie Mae We had a constant stream of familys wanting to look round our engine! Even had a fire call at the end of the day to round off things! All enjoyed the event & glad we could raise some money!
... If you would like us to attend an event/school fete etc, details will follow!

Our page will fall silent today as we remember 2x brave Firefighters from Red Watch St Mary's, 9 years ago today they passed away whilst tackling a fire at Shirley Towers, R.I.P FF Alan Bannon & FF Jim Shears! Gone but not forgotten! X

Don't forget to change your clocks a hour forward today! ⏰
Also a good time to check your smoke alarms & even replace the battery! You should have at least 1x per floor,
Smoke alarms save lives!

Yesterday one of our appliances & our Environmental Protection Unit was mobilised to a big fire in Southampton, We were sent at approx 2.30pm to a make pumps x10, We helped our colleagues from various stations across the county to tackle the fire, also tasked with environmental protection with the water run off coming from the fire to prevent it going down the drains, Was great to see all 3x emergency services working together! 🚒🚑🚓

Happy pancake day! Whilst we all love pancakes! Here are some safety tips to keep you safe & enjoy your pancakes! - don't leave the pan unattended, - Keep out the reach of children, - if the pan catches fire due to the oil, DON'T throw water on it! Turn off the heat, close the door, get out & call 999!
... Hope you all have a "flippin" good evening! Don't get too "battered" with all the fun!
