York is undoubtedly one of the most atmospheric cities in Britain, the capital of the north for the Romans, the capital of the Danelaw for the Vikings, and an important administrative base for the Normans, Tudors, Georgians and Victorians. This really is one of the most influential and must-see cities for any visitor to Britain, and we are going there this Sunday! Join us.

We’re off to the bright lights of Brighton this Sunday, Britain’s most vibrant seaside town, the most fashionable place for fish’n chips!

The crowds have gone, the locals are smiling once again, and the sun’s still shining! - the perfect time to don those travelling trousers and see Britain at its tranquil best. Seats still available for Sunday’s trip to beautiful Bath.

Alternatively, how about experiencing the atmosphere of a north England city, the fabulous city of York with its majestic cathedral and a labyrinth of medieval shopping streets.
Seats available on both tours!

The good weather is back again for this weekend so why not escape the city tomorrow and join us on a trip to The Cotswolds, a region of beautiful countryside and quaint villages - it'll be looking its very best this weekend!

Test your strength at the Stonehenge Visitor Centre and see whether you would have been a Neolithic sarsen stone-dragger or a less productive primitive teabreak-taker!

This month's "Hidden Highlights" tour is on Sunday, 5 August. Choose between two of London's less visited but utterly stunning attractions: Hampton Court Palace (the enormous palace of King Henry VIII and later monarchs, the UK's Versailles!) or Kew Gardens (which houses the largest and most diverse botanical collections in the world)... these are two of Britain's must-see sights! Don't miss them!!

A tropical flavour in Bath today to suit the unseasonably tropical weather.. Bath Carnival!

Another rubbish English summer’s day in Brighton.

The new walkway at Stonehenge helps with understanding the purpose of the monument. Join us and your guide will explain all! Tours depart every Saturday.

A new tour just to The Cotswolds has been added to our summer tour programme. We will be visiting more beautiful villages and have more time to soak up the peace and tranquility of one of Britain‘s most alluring regions... Thursday 12 July

Having just informed our group in Brighton today to always expect the unexpected in the city, a group of nude cyclists passed by!

User

Having given up trying to feed the horses - organic apples not being refined enough for the palate of a Cotswold horse it seems - here we are admiring the countryside instead. Our clothes (and hairstyles!) are as colourful as the view!

After a week of warm, muggy days and leaden skies the sun will be out again this weekend. What better time to experience the rural beauty of the Cotswold hills? The views on Sunday across the Severn Valley from Broadway Tower, an 18th century folly, will be majestic. In fact, 200 years ago Lady Coventry, who lived 22 miles away in Worcester, commissioned the building of the tower just to see whether she would be able to see it! A folly indeed!

Off to the Cotswolds this Sunday, not only a region of tranquil beauty but also home for over 400 years to ‘The Cotswold Olympicks’, an example of Great British tradition and eccentricity with its bizarre contests which include ‘shin-kicking’ to name but one. Across Britain there are numerous other odd competitions such as ‘Pig-racing’, ‘Bog-snorkelling’, ‘Worm-charming’ or ‘Gravy-wrestling’, but our favourite takes us back to the steep grassy slopes of The Cotswolds for ‘cheese-rolling’: competitors chase an 18kg block of Double Gloucester cheese down a steep hill, the first to the bottom wins the cheese! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fWpkDDDj1QM

The sun is shining and the north Norfolk Coast is looking quite a picture today but the wind is taking an edge off the temperature. Is this Norfolk or The Gobi Desert?

This Sunday we deviate away from our normal programme of tours to explore one of the lesser-visited but extremely beautiful places the UK has to offer. Our 'Hidden Highlights' tour this month is to the North Norfolk Coast just an hour and a half's drive from Cambridge. It is a stunning coastline of wide sandy beaches, quaint seaside villages, fishing boats and windmills, and few people to spoil the view! It is a birdwatcher's paradise and a great place to watch seals. In fact, join us this weekend and we will be taking a boat trip out to see the seals as they bask on the headland of Blakeney Point. Come and join us...Sunday 27 May, 9am-7pm. Warm sunshine forecast so don't forget your sun cream!!
